Kugelblitz is actually crazy good

I would beg to differ it can pretty handily body a Sherman hell even the jumbo if you get their flank just right and yes, I have killed jumbos with it I use it at Br 5 with my Flak bus and yes, I know it’s not fair to compare my experience with it to the average player’s experience with it, but it is way too good for Br III.

I killed a few br3 vehicles with the br1 Stuart Rhino the other day.

By flanking.

Should the Stuart Rhino get bumped up in br because I took down br3 vehicles?

Flanking is something most tanks can do regardless of br… but were I to attack those from the front, the outcome would be quite different now would it?

Your excuse is “flank it, bro”. That’s not enough to judge br.

The problem with kugel is its anti-infantry abilities, no body cares about Kugel’s armor or anti tank abilities. The thing has way too much splash damage against infantry. IRL it fires mineshells against aircraft which are thin casing HE rounds used to rip apart aircraft skin on contact and are not flak rounds and have no penetration or fragmentation properties so basically 30mm HE rounds should not do that much splash, it does more splash than some tank HE shells and is an machine gun. Give it the APCR it is supposed to have for tanks and reduce the HE damage again infantry and then you can keep it at BR3

He gets it. :point_up_2:

Surely it has more splash then the PZ 3 n of the same BR… it’s pointless to compare it to things that isn’t.

Should we bump m8, pz4E &F1, and T28 & T28E up to br4?

Their splash damage against infantry are all very extreme, they all reload extremely fast too. I dare say they’re even better than Kugel vs infantry. What a shock.

If game balance, doesn’t matter to you then what about math? The explosive charges inside of the 30mm round is only 100 grams.

https://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNGER_30mm-53_m103.php

it has half the explosive charge as the 50mm on the pz3 mentioned and should be balanced as such.

edit: oh n version, I was thinking the 50mm long, the thing has half the charge of the 50mm long

And I’m speaking of

Not pz3M (you must’ve meant M).

Aren’t those HE slingers extremely potent vs poor helpless infantry?

Well yeah but those things are 50mm the explosive charge on this thing is closer to the 40mm 2 pounders and the thinner walls on the shell should mean less fragmentation damage.

It turns planes into confetti very easily don’t listen to him.

Those are not 50mm.

Those are 75mm.

And br2. And way, way more potent than the Kugel vs infantry (splash damage radius is much larger, and they reload stupidly fast.)

So, Kugel being br3 is fine imo, balance wise. There’s much worse at that br with planes bombs, rockets, powerful tanks (Sherman 105, ever heard of it?) And even LOWER br tanks, against poor infantry.

Reduce the capacity to 30 or 50 shells a belt and reduce the reload speed it can stay at Br III the bigger 30mm should have a longer down time as a tradeoff for the higher power.

not talking about the guns, talking about the ammo. The HE mineshell on the kugel should not have both penetration and HE. The loadout is APCR for HE Mineshell, the mineshell should have similar performance ingame to the british 2 pound given the explosive charge weight and kugel should get APCR rounds that it can use against tanks. It’s round should be a BR3 Tase, good against planes with HE, good against infantry with HE, can kill same tier tanks with APCR

I can see why they combined the properties of both the ACPR and the HE Mineshell because in enlisted you simply doesn’t let you switch tank round (autoloaders/complicated breath/sperate charges/not a doctrine thing)

They can keep both the AP and HE property in one ammo type if they want for gameplay reasons but at least lower the blast radius

The Kugel use a mixed belt:

HE-AP-HE-AP… it’s not just one type of shell it shoots.

According to the staff, that is…

well if it WAS HE-AP then it should have 14 grams of explosive filling

that is like a fifth of the 2 pounder

balance around that then, it will make the tank 10 times worse and I want a refund

also if we do mixed shells, shouldn’t we limit the aoe to once every x shells?

reduce the explosion radius to a point where is can still clear buildings like a normal tank but have it function more like a big machine gun against infantry in the open (Tase+).

The Kugelblitz’s value lies in its versatility; it can destroy BR2 tanks, aircraft, and infantry at an extremely high speed. When camping, it can kill enemy CAS, paratroopers, and AI bombers in a few sec.

Different to HE shells, AA tank can quickly eliminate scattered infantry and have a faster reaction time. can also better suppress anti-tank soldiers at the edge of the cover.

Final argument, it got same BR of tigerII H in WT. In Enlisted there’s infantry to kill, less enemy tank pushing, and air heading Indicator, it perform way better than in WT. BRIV isn’t a stringent nerf.

Kugelblitz is a great amplifier for a sweater team, and it will inevitably become a *necessary slot for premium player.

This sentence is just comedy gold if you know the origin of the word flak and what it means.

I think you understood him wrong. The ammo belt for the kugel contains 2 diffrent shell types which alternate. First a dedicated HE round ( big HE filler) and then a dedicated AP round (100% solid shot Ap only not even APCR) but it does not contain any APHE rounds.
So what you found was the data for a round that isnt used ingame.

That phrase brings back memories, especially when the Allies used it during the Normandy campaign. hehe

Is his BR III justified It lacks the armor and firepower (penetration) necessary to deal with the BR III armored personnel carrier. In frontal combat, and considering its function is to destroy aircraft and not tanks, it may have a high-penetration belt like the DO 335. But that’s no justification for its upgrade A BR IV
