KING TIGER germany tank with problems

IActually, the problem with the game’s reality is that the King Tiger battle with batle with the M26 Pershing is impossible to shoot down.
The King Tiger used the 88mm KwK 43 L/71 anti-aircraft gun. The King Tiger had much thicker armor. The tank’s frontal armor was 185mm. This made it virtually impenetrable. The only disadvantage of the King Tiger was suffering from recurring mechanical failures due to its extreme weight.

Use the super Pershing. Better gun on that.

And shoot at KT’s turret cheeks.

With a standard Pershing, the best tactic against a King Tiger is to destroy its gun first. Then take out its tracks. Once its crew is forced to get out, you can just spam HE shells around the tank.

This will work against most King Tiger players.

Pershing has faster reload, you want to exploit that as well as the APCR which while does not have HE filler, can frontally penetrate the turret of the Tiger II.

Does this also work against Tiger II (P)?

Yes, it works against both Tiger II variants.

Tiger II P turret is weaker (though sometimes the angles can be quite trolly), using Pershing APHE and aiming at the turret would be enough.

I suppose another detail to consider would be the vehicle’s overall angle and distance, since it would be harder to destroy if you don’t have a good view of it, especially if it’s angled and over 300 meters away. But apart from that, it means that if it weren’t for ammunition limitations and the lack of a machine gun, the most powerful German tank would be the Ferdinand, right? That is, until the Jagdtiger comes along.

The driver and radio operator in a Ferdinant have little side view ports than can be shot when facing it frontally - those only have 80mm of armor. If the Ferdinant player isnt paying attention you can hit it sometimes with a flat angle, but when facing the tank straight from the front its effective protection is like the panthers frontal plate - should be weaker than Tiger II H turret armor.

Jagdtiger will never be added unless the devs are willing to ruin the game.

It sounds complicated, since I remember an encounter with a Super Pershing at less than 200 meters and it couldn’t penetrate my Ferdinand. In the end, I ran out of ammunition and the other guy got out of his tank to throw a charge of dynamite at me, but I didn’t get out in time and my tank exploded.

I’ve heard it’s really strong, even in War Thunder, which is quite something, but isn’t the Jagdtiger already in the game files? At least as an event, it would be interesting since jets will still be spamming bombs, and the tank will surely have a relatively slow reload time too.

No tank will be able to penetrate its 250mm of armor.

A tank that can not be destroyed by other tanks ruins tank gameplay.

It’s understandable, although Germany’s biggest problem lies in its tanks below BR4. Some have already suggested vehicles like the Turan III or the Italian P40. I, for example, think the Panther with a Panzer IV turret would be good, since the KV1 and 2 are still a problem at BR3. But since I don’t remember if that tank is in War Thunder, it’s difficult. In general, there are quite a few options, either that or moving the tank destroyers that are at BR4 to BR3, like the Jagdpanzer 4/L70.

The M26 has APCR for a reason, and it’s what makes it better than the Super Pershing imo

Pershing can penetrate tiger II’s turret if it’s facing directly towards you, with the APCR round.

That said, this advantage from the tiger II is deliberate, think of it as asymmetric balancing. German players can also complain about the F80A or Meteor being way more powerful than Me262 etc. US/UK faction simply shine elsewhere and you’ll need to find their perks.
