Kill cam/death

suggestion is pretty simple, when a soldier is dead, allow us to just see the POV vision of the soldier flopping down to the ground, rather than the current animation where it pops out of the soldier vision and we fully see the soldier dropping to the ground

remove the killcam so that the enemy isnt as easily findable, this is purely to make it more challenging to find the enemy. or at least do it for lone fighters

The killcsm could just aim the direction the shooter is, but without highlight

i dont know that still feels like its a easy position giveaway

Defo. We need snipers in this game to stay safe like 100%. I mean dfq DF you need to reward ‘‘strategic’’ gameplay and players who are playing this class not giving away their position by some stupid kill cam… Jesus.

yeah, i mean ive grown tired of not being able to find the sniper on my own, instead the killcam reveals it and i instantly kill the guy, which just makes it boring

SOmething similar i was about to suggest - like the last 20 sec of the enemy player which killed you and be able to skip that killcam by pressing space or something - Just happened to play with 1 today who suspeciusly knew exactly where people was and where instant running around corners and head shooting everyone

There are two sides to this:

  1. It makes finding hidden soldiers far too easy to identify. A sniper on the ridge or in a good nest, is getting punished every time he kills an actual player because it will instantly identify him. (My buddy mains sniper for our group. He actually does his job very well and keeps things spotted too. The thing is that he USUALLY tries to avoid killing the actual players and instead just killing off their bot squad. If he actually does kill a player, he moves to a different location, taking away his extremely valuable overwatch while he moves, just because of an OP game function.)

  2. On the flip side, there have been countless times that we are able to identify cheaters because of the “killcam” feature. Usually in these instances they are sitting in or behind their spawns, magically getting kills with hand grenades. You can often times even see them arm another grenade in that screen, while they are not within grenade range of anything by far. There are also other instances besides just grenades but you get my drift.

Solution: point in the general direction, but not have the screen centered on the player (randomize it, sometimes player to the left or to the right of center). In addition, give an approximated distance such as 100-150, or 50-100. This way it gives them a general idea, and if the number is extremely high and doesn’t match up well with what killed you, you can still report them with relative accuracy.

IRL gunshot sounds are the main way you figure out where you’re getting shot from, muzzle report and how bullets actually sound changes based on distance and an experienced shooter can get a rough estimate of what they’re being shot by and from how far away based on sound, so I think this is a real good idea that’s not world breaking or anything like a cod killcam

thats kinda pointless when you’re already dead
