No I’m saying we get in a custom match, you’re in the German tanks and I’m in the 105 Sherman. Bring as many Panzer IVs, Panthers, and Tigers as you want
What would that prove, it only works if we are at the same skill level

I just said a Sherman 105mm would have to be a better tanker then a tanker in a pz4
So to clarify, by your own admission the reason you think the 105 Sherman is bad against tanks is because of a skill issue

I said the Sherman 105 requires more skill to beat a pz4
If two equally skilled tankers fought in a 105 and pz4
The pz4 would win most times
Making the 105 a bad tank killer
If you require more skill to win
The tank is puting you at a disadvantage thus a bad tank for the role
That just means the 105 Sherman has a higher skill floor and a higher skill ceiling, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad tank killer. It’s not even bad when you compare it to a really good tank hunter like the Panzer IV, but it also has better armor and anti-infantry than the Panzer IV.
By definition that’s a bad tank destroyer
If you have to be a better tanker to win you are playing at a disadvantage

It is great anti infantry, anti emplaced gun, at gun, ECT ECT

A bolt action can win again a sa or sf that does not make it a better gun it makes you lucky or a better player if you can do it consistently.
Yes if you can pen a tank overpressure let’s you get a one hit kill, if you can
But you have to a be better than you’re opponent or b lucky why
The pz4 just has to angle there tank or show you the right or left of there tank and avoid showing you the exact front rear or top of the tank while you have to avoid exposing you’re entire tank.
Almost everything at br3 can kill a Sherman without trying while a 105 has to use tactics
The 105 is a great anti infantry tank not so good at killing br3 and 4 tanks
It’s a gun issue
The pz4 gun can pen the 105 without trying
While the 105 can’t
Yes the Sherman has better armor
But the pz4 gun is so good it does not matter
Look everyone has fun there own way but I don’t consider it ‘fun’ to go into a fight with one arm tied
If you have mastered the game to the point you have to play with a handy cap

Except it’s really not that much of a handicap, the spots to overpressure are different from the spots you shoot with AP, slightly more difficult but not impossibly hard.
You keep saying the 105 Sherman is bad against tanks, but you’re only saying that because you don’t understand the power of overpressure and you’re too stubborn to back down.
Overpressure is not a matter of shooting pixels, it’s a matter of just looking at armor differently and shooting different spots.

If the 105 won more times out of a hundred matches you would be right
That would prove which one is better at fighting specially the one other tank, it wouldn’t prove which is better at literally anything else.
What makes a tank good isn’t just how good it is at shooting tanks and getting shot at by tanks. But even if that were the case my 105 Sherman would eat half the German army’s tank stockpile for breakfast

The “2 opponents of equal skill” argument only really works if they’re both trash, cause if they’re both at least decent then the 105 Sherman would know not the shoot the thickest parts of the Panzer IV, thus giving them both the potential to one shot their opponent.
