I got this game about a week ago and I just wanted to say that Enlisted is pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted from a WW2 shooter. The maps, guns, weapons, vehicles, planes, uniforms, atmosphere, everything; its all so immersive and awesome. I always wanted a WW2 sandbox shooter, and Enlisted was the game that finally scratched that itch.
Battlefield 1 was my first “historical” shooter and got me into really delving into the history of these conflicts and obviously WW2 was the next one in line. I was excited at first when they announced Battlefield V, thinking that finally we were going to get a modern AAA WW2 shooter. I even started playing Call of Duty WWII in the meantime to hold myself over. Then Battlefield V came out and lets just say it was a sorry excuse for a WW2 game. Don’t get me started on the myriad of problems and controversies it had. Battlefield V and CoD were definitely fun and I enjoyed them, but they never really had what I was looking for.
Then I finally heard about Enlisted in 2021 when they revealed the Battle of Berlin. I didn’t know every detail about the game, but what little gameplay I saw immediately caught my attention and I raced onto the game’s website to learn more. Finally an immersive WW2 shooter I thought! However for one reason or another I never got around to getting it until I finally did last week. And I’m in love with this game. I remember how poorly I was the first few matches, but I quickly got the hang of it and I love the gameplay and mechanics. I can not stress how much fun I’m having.
Obviously Enlisted isn’t a perfect game but it’s everything I’ve ever wanted from a WW2 sandbox shooter and I honestly couldn’t be more happy; and I hope it continues to grow and develop. Seriously thank you Gaijin and Darkflow, keep up the good work. : )
