Being almost done with it now, I just want to give some feedback, because that is what unqualified random people on the internet do. I’ll try to keep it short.
The best thing are the silver tokens. It was what I’ve always looked forward to and it was the most rewarding thing of it all. It was just enough to equip all my german Normandy units I play, with some to spare.
The worst thing are the “big” rewards. The soldiers are… fine. I mean, five Stars. That is nice. But also Tier one. The weapons are… also fine. The problem is their limitation. The Berdan and the G88 could also be basic rifles in the game and the Schmeisser in particular, limited to only one, is really… in a game with such a short TTK one special gun for one soldier is not that big of a deal. Plus: it is far worse than a lot of other SMGs. I don’t ask for the gun to be overpowered, but getting enough guns to equip an entire unit with them seems fair. This way, it is just a digital collectible.
What would I change?
Instead of Tier V Soldiers, I’d rather have special skins to use on a squad. The nice cloaks on the campaign preview comes to mind. Or a uniform with displayed medals. Or worn-off, dirty Uniforms.
Regarding the weapons: instead of a single one, they should come in a “crate”. Maybe depending on the Weapon type. So that it would always be enough for a squad. So four if it is a SMG, three for sniper rifles and machine guns, etc.
Agree with more weapons included in the random orders, much like we get with Bronze Soldier Orders, a mix of different potential troops. Wasting Bronze cards to get 1 random gun seems like gip.
Wrom what i played now with Schmeisser i would say it is pretty good gun, it may not look like by stats but by playing it i was really enjoing it, it has almost no recoil and you can kill multiple guys just with that one 20 round mag.
But i agree there should me more than just this, but it is first implementation on BP, they said they would make it better in future, just wanted to test how will it work now.
This is what they said: As for other rewards, in the first season of the Battle Pass they will feature gold coins and silver supply orders. We would remind you that silver orders guarantee the obtaining of a desired soldier class or selected weapon with only one random factor: if weapons come already upgraded or not. We consider the first season as a test and will add more types of rewards in the future.
Oh, it’s not that bad! But, compared to the MP35 or ZK, it is definitely the inferior gun. A six star MP35 has 7.2 (+0,1) damage and 0.1sec faster reload - okay, that’s bean counting. But it also has 12 rounds less in the mag and a 30% slower rate of fire. The ZK has basically no recoil when mounted. The ZK also comes with a fire selector and the MP35 should have one too.
If we get only one weapon, it should at least perform like one of the bests. This way, I rarely see my Schmeisser at all
Finished mine this morning. Those silver orders were nice. They give you enough to equip one army in a campaign.
Schmeisser MK36.III is fun to play with but so is an upgraded ZK-383, MP 35/I or a FG 42
The training orders: i have yet to use one.
For the next battle pass I would love to see a little bit more unique gear then only one weapon choice. That also can be equipment, a company/regiment or skins.
MP35 and Czechoslovakian ZK are weapons that i dont like tbh, they don’t feel right for me, i dont do that well with them as with Schmeisser tbh, idk why, just dont like those guns to play. I perform much better with Schmeisser than with ZK or MP35. Soo for me its not only about stats, but also about that i i play with that gun, and Schmeisser is just better gun for me than those 2.
The 1 of each is the biggest gripe, really.
You get 1 soldier (2 if you count the one-time achievement) and 1 gun for actually finishing the BP.
It would be more rewarding if they made ‘premium’-lite squads with these guns and somewhat unique soldiers like the ones you can buy with ingame gold - the M3 field mod/MP18.
