There is a tech tree now, wich is honestly way cleaner and clearer but i can basically use nothing i had unlocked.
Or I can use it all and be in BR IV games with mostly BR 2 gear.
I have some stuff that I cant even find in the tech tree, like my USA M5A1 tank. For some reason this tank changes to some other tank in game.
Consider this post a rant that I have to restart my grinding from basically zero. I want to use some of my better stuff but then I am placed in games where I get demolished.
Also: what is the difference between different squads nowadays? Is it just a way to unlock different weapon upgrades (gotta keep us grinding am i right)?
Also: after some googling I found out I have some legacy squads but I dont really understand what the difference is?
The more squads you have the more loadouts/presets you can assemble for each BR without having to re-arm your soldiers every time.
Also, you might be able to build purely Italian/British squads lineups, which is a mark of a man of culture.
I have everything unlocked and I barely go beyong BR3 anyway, because once you equip a single BR4 item you risk being sent to alt-history post-war hell of jets, ARs and OP SLRs like T20/Autohei and such.
If I were you I’d stick to building a strong BR2 lineup for each faction and I’d play with the “play any” activated to get more XP and silver, and to experience as many maps as possible.
I have been building strong BR2’s and it made the game way more fun!
Does that amount of squads even matter? I have more than ill ever fully use, most are still lvl 1. Guess its mostly handy for making different BR squads.
An example, 2 different squads, the same upgrades for the MP43 and STG 44, if you were to play in a match with both of these, effectively you can grind it faster over having only one of these squads
Do not, repeat do not sell your legacy squads if the opportunity arises again. I didn’t see the long term value in it and sold most of my legacy squads. Legacy squads can be quite useful because they mean you can field several similar squads which can help with min maxing (thank god I saved those allied sniper squads lol). For example if you want to field tanks of the same BR you may not always be able to with current TT squads especially true for high BR. I understand cycling vehicles isn’t always helpful or effective but for event tasks it helps. Similarly for special weapons kills having those legacy squads to cycle definitely helps.
