The 1 point in base jump height allows you to clear a lot more obstacles other than just wire. You can jump over windows without climbing, some fences etc. Maxing it out definitely will increase number of obstacles but I’m not sure it would by a significant amount. Some people however just like it to get jumping peeks at enemies. I personally can’t stand it however because I constantly find myself in a situation where I wish I was on the ground already
Climb speed is probably the best filler perk to get once you’ve bought everything else you wanted. Overall priority is run speed → speed of changing pose → maxing crouch speed → jump height → vault speed
Sprint speed is much cheaper than run speed and run speed isn’t that significantly better if it’s actually better at all. Speed of changing pose is for helping you get into firing position faster because you should always shoot while crouched. Same goes for crouching movements speed because when you strafe while you’re shooting (aka while you’re crouched), having it maxed makes you much faster and harder to hit. At least 1 point in jump height seems necessary to me due to all the obstacles you can skip, 2 points is preference. The rest is dumped into vault speed. I get 2-3 points into that on most my soldiers

Thanks for the reply
That was basically the debate for me, does the second upgrade in jump height allow for any common obstacles to be vaulted. Wanted to confirm its not worth.
I believe you wanted to type: “run speed is much cheaper than sprint speed and sprint speed isnt that significantly better”. Since u mentioned that, i want to agree, but sprint speed has its usage imo. I use it on grenadier riflemen and assaulters mostly even tho its not on all of my assaulters.
Um, what?
WTF is “vault” speed?
I don’t use it for my rifleman because rifleman IIs get about 4,5% increase in speed from that, that’s further diminished by run speed having higher uptime
Spending extra 10 points to save 1 second off 22 second jog is not worth it imo, since for the 10 points I can get the aforementioned jump height and vault speed that allows me to clear obstacles and save much more than 1 second of time
I only ever use it on assaulters combined with 1x run speed because they get funny fast when you combine both and are good for rushing points but not much else
I’ve switched one of my assaulter teams to run speed only and while the speed difference is noticable the gunplay feels better
