i tested it myself, Pz. IV H cant even kill stuart without precise and accurate hit on certain spot even if the APCBC HE-filled shell penetrate and explode even sometime it still wont kill stuart after landing perfect hit, the post-pen explosion is just soo weak, what more it has lower ammo count and shittier HE shell and shittier armor, it just worse in every way
That what i thought. Its pretty typical that players from one specific faction refuses to see own factions strenghts and claim how everything others have is overpowered and if someone just tell them otherwise they will be insulted as freeboo or slavaboo…

In my experience the Jumbo only OHK’s in 2 circumstances - HE against Puma (only sometimes), and if it can hit the TOP armour of a P3/4.
I’ve only ever killed 2 P4’s with OHK in Normandy - they were sitting right next to each other, original beach invasion, in a spot right hand side of the map as the allies see it, next to an artillery bunker on the hill - so both were facing downwards, and I hit the top armour above the drive/radio operator - 2 shots, 2 kills… never happened before or since.

either way it still lower than 91mm which mean penetrable by Jumbo while Pz. IV H cant penetrate jumbo face to face except for yhose few pixel weak spot

bruh, maybe some shot are just disappear because you got gaijined and the damage model was still rigged, regardless. your aim just sucks
and your methode of killing tank is really wrong, dont blame the game or enemy tank dont even overstimate Pz. III/IV because of this
war thunder and enlisted (both have same mechanic) tank battle are always like this if you arent moving then you wont damage anything else beside the thing you already damaged especially when you only have solid AP, so you need to move so you can shoot spot where it hasnt been shot yet or the correct weakspot but you were just sitting duck there keep firing the same spot hoping one of the shot somehow and magically kill anyone in it, wtf man that was a solid AP but even so neither APHE can do it since HE filler is so weak in this game
that’s just how this game works even if it penetrate but if it doesnt damage anything inside the tank like the crew, ammo rack, breech, etc etc then the penetrating shell rendered as useless this is NOT WoT where penetrating shell from any direction regardless of the post-pen damage inside the tank rendered as usefull and can damage enemy tank HEALTH BAR, bruh
im pretty much war thunder veteran with 7 years experience and have most top tier tank/plane while on enlisted i just reach Lv 29 on one of the campaign just yesterday

I cannot tell for sure without seeing the actual moments of the engagement, that’s odd because it looks like that Puma was offering the best possible angle.
Possible explanations:
Maybe you switched ammo, but the first shot was still the chambered AP, so little damage?
You got Gaijined by hitting a tiny spot of the frontal armor which absorbed all damage?
But you said its crew dismounted, so my best guess is: probably a HE side shot is usually lethal to the Puma due to crew killing; in your case the crew was out, so the damage to components alone may have been insufficient for a vehicle kill, while the player who finished off the crew got the credit.
Then I can only theorize that your first HE hit in a spot where most of the damage was absorbed by vehicle components, without lethal effects but disabling it enough to force the crew to ditch, and so did your next shot(s) while the crew was shielded by the ground or the vehicle itself.
Either way, quite bad luck imo. I’m pretty sure that if you meet more Pumas, HE on the side will do. So far I only saw Pumas surviving HE if I either hit the frontal armor, or if my side shot lands short hitting the wheels.
but even so neither APHE can do it since HE filler is so weak in this game
