The beach at Dieppe was the scene of one of the deadliest operations for the Allied side. Conceived as a landing, this operation’s main objective was to target communication centers and the port.

The majority of the troops were either British, French, Canadian, and a handful of American commandos, supported by British and Polish pilots, who were themselves facing the German mechsmitt.
Unfortunately, this operation was a failure; no vehicles were able to leave the beach.

Many men were killed or captured.

So, that’s all for now. The real purpose of this post is to introduce a landing other than the bloody Omaha, which was just as disastrous.
If you’re interested, there are two museums in Dieppe with photos of D-Day, newspapers from that day, and photos of Dieppe before and after.
There’s also a list of all the available aircraft.
This post is more for informational purposes than to express a genuine desire to see it included in Enlisted, but given the uncertainty, if it could end up in Enlisted, why not? This theater is very rarely, if ever, mentioned in the books!
