Johnson LMG to Br 3

Yeah, the slow/fast RoF settings is almost certainly bogus for the Johnson LMG (the gun only had three selector positions, safe, semi and full), and it’s likely the current “slow” RoF is the historicly correct one.

I’m pretty sure the Devs just googled Johnson lmg rpm and took the lowest rpm and the highest rpm and just put them in one gun:

Well I guess the modos have received the order to suppress anyone who criticize the company’s strategy …

As for the Johnson, well Idk… tbh US BR4 is super empty, they don’t even have a BR4 rifle and many people are also looking to rdowntier the Thompsons… at this point there won’t be any US BR4 weapons.

Could just buff johnson handling to be closer or even similar with FG.
After all johnson is classified as lmg so theres movement penalty anyway & limited amount of machine gunners.

And add some 1919 model with 50 - 100 belt to BR4.

So then there would atleast be some kind of choice to make while selecting lmg at br4.

And while going off-topic could nerf one of the BAR’s to fit in BR2.

Or the lewis gun?

more of asking if it even existed. i saw that it was used in later wars, but i have not seen any evidence that it was used in ww2.

I absolutely would like to see both magazine versions of the Lewis in the tech tree, one slight issue though.

Lewis with 47 magazine would be a BR III gun, because that’s what it currently is for the Soviets of course. However, I have a hard time justifying anything other than a BR V placement for the 97 version… So, we’re still out with a BR IV slot, other than a 60-round Vickers K, for the Commonwealth.

Edit, further thoughts: The bonus for the Lewis guns are that technicly the US has a claim to them too, they used to be used by them during WW1 and the inter-war period, but had been discarded before WW2. Nothing stopping you from making a inter-war US loadout with a Lewis though (combined with Springfields or Enfields and M1928 Thompsons).

Ah gotcha.

Yes, I am also unaware of such a thing in WW2.

Well depends on the source and the model they can add the gas operated for BR IV since it has higher rate of fire. But the rate of fire can be adjusted for game balance if we go full realistic STG is R.I.P. and all the prototypes will be OP since we dont know much about their real rate of fire.

Same thing they did with Type 99 when they destroyed it and we thought they probably gonna add the scope but they didnt they simply gutted the gun.

So before they change the Johnson the better first think how to make it playable not simply destroy the gun like they did with Type 99 when they cherry picked the rate of fire and said its ‘‘realistic’’

The m1941 manual says nothing about changing the gas ports but the m1944 does mention it.

The m1941 is not gas operated it cant have higher rate of fire then the gas operated the rate of fire on the M1941 is less then 700 since the gas operated with the gas port starts from 700 so the original one cant have the current RPM but careful what you do with it since if you make the Johnson unplayable like you did with Type 99 im gonna start ‘’‘F’" on the forum again

ZB 26 also have unrealistic rate of fire since ZB 30 is the one with adjustable Gasport like Type 99 but there is STG that has absolutely not justifiable rate of fire however if we nerf it some non existent protypes will be better then it so its not very realistic. So some guns they better not touch unless they have a good plan for them.

If they put they put the M1941 to BR II and M1944 to BR IV I will be happy since people that love the Johnson will still enjoy it even more.
