Sadly Forums not letting me upload picture here but just launched enlisted earlier and downloaded something before seeing the new Icon for Japan.
Possibly, its “harmonization mode” in the settings.
It replaces all historical symbols with neutral ones.
Nope, its a bug, it happened few months ago as well, It shows harmonization version even when you have it off.
