Jap guns

In this thread I will propose to add some weapons to Japan that it really lacks.

Japan has no acceptable semi-automatic rifles at BR3. Who would like semi-automatic rifles that require two clips to be loaded?

I think the fact that the developers hid all the semi-automatic rifles with a detachable magazine for 10 rounds is a real d*ck move. No, it’s a real war crime. I can partly understand this decision in the context of the old Pacific campaign, where the US also did not have good semi-automatic rifles with a detachable magazine, but . . . the US has a Garand with a magic clip that works even better than detachable magazines. (Although it is possible to mechanically turn the Garand into a rifle with a detachable magazine, if you implement the mechanics of ejecting half-empty clips and catching them in the air) (By the way, Germany also deserves a good BR3 semi-automatic rifle. I would like to suggest a lower a ZH-29 on BR3, but this is a discussion for another topic)

In short, I propose to simply add all BP versions of the Type Hei rifle to the TT. The early one on BR3 and the late one on BR4. Or maybe even both on BR3. And to compensate those who once acquired this by issuing Murata and Hino rifles.

This proposal to add a BP weapon is not caused by any urgent need, I would simply like to see the full family of Nambu SMGs in the TT. I propose adding the SMG type 1 to the TT.

Let’s continue about the submachine guns. I suggest the Beretta M38 as a reward for the event.

A few more foreign designs. Japan had licensed copies of the Lewis gun and the MG-15.

Yes, these are almost clones of weapons from other factions, but after the addition of the event Thompson and the sawed-off M2 carbine IN THE TECHTREE, I don’t see any reason why these machine guns can’t be added to the TT.

I would also suggest considering adding captured bazooka grenade launchers of both models to the tech tree. It is known that bazookas were captured by the Japanese and researched to create their own grenade launchers. However, I could not find any information about the use of captured bazookas in combat. Nevertheless, it is much easier to believe in a bazooka in the hands of a Japanese soldier than in an ofenrohr.

Only object to this, due to as you said, it not being urgently needed. I don’t expect all itterations of the Sten family to be in the tech tree.

Whilst I do appreciate the sentiment (and I do share it, I want my Commonwealth guns) I only need the Mk II and Mk V Stens to be in the tech tree, the rest (Mk I, I*, II with bayonet, II S, III, IV, IV S, and whatever else I’m missing) can be premium, event or BP to reflect their non-standard nature, and to support the game.

All I want are reasonable weapon placements, reflecting both game balance needs and real world use. The Hei rifles (as I understand it) were the most common automatic rifles in Japanese service, they should have been placed in the tech tree in the first palce, and want this to be corrected before any more dumb descisions are made based on problems made by first dumb descisions…

The situation is even funnier when you consider that 5-round magazines were far less common than 10-round magazines.

Thank you, for what, you forgot to write it but giving the Garand a ten round magazine Because otherwise it would not be able to compete with the ZH-29 and G43, And or make the Johnson feed from a magazine ten rounds all at once instead of five round stripper clips. Because the US lacks a ten round SA rifle at BR3 or BR4. I guess you could make the Johnson magazine fed and move the eight round Garand to BR2 but that might be a bit much, of course increasing the magazine from 8 to ten rounds might make history nerds unhappy.

Johnson’s prototype rifle with a detachable magazine is waiting for its moment to take the place of the US self-loading rifle at 4BR. True, it only seems to have 8 rounds instead of 10, but I don’t think that’s critical. After all, you can increase the damage of this rifle a little or make it reload faster.

Well, these are the problems and whims of the US Army command. The high command of the US military wanted either a pack loading system like the M1 Garand or a clip loading system like the Johnson M1941. And magazine feeding was literally one of the reasons for rejecting a particular rifle in the competition. Of course, it cannot be said that this was the main and only reason, far from it, but it was a factor.

However, in the game, the garand clips work just like detachable magazines. (I was a bit mistaken earlier when I said they worked better than magazines. I just checked and they didn’t. Just like mags)

coughs to clear throat even with health perk SA are a one shot down/kill making damage increase meaningless. as for reload unless it reloads 25 to 30 percent faster its not enough you have to reload 25 percent more often, secondly there asking for HEI ten shot magazine, g43, ZH-29 at br3 how does putting an 8 round Johnson at br4 help, at all.

why it matters Germany has a 6 shot SA rifle at br2 and 10 round at br4 making 8 what should be the limit for single load at br3. comparison g41 has more ammo at 10 but reloads slower than the garand. the g41 or zh29 have no such disadvantage and if you want the bayonet i will glady give it up for a 25 increase in reload speed or two more bullets per magazine. or the ZH29 and G43 can be made 25% slower loading than the garand or remove two bullets.

also again the us has no SA rifle that has a ten round magazine that is not fed by stripper clips. my heart bleeds for Germany.
