Yo, it’s my first feedback. So yeah, I just checked on the “M1A1” Thompson Para’s markings while at training mode.
And yeah, It’s not a M1A1, It’s a M1. I know historically that M1s and M1A1s are used during ww2 but in game designers should be a bit more careful on the gun models. If it’s really an upgrade of the M1 like the event SMG is already upgraded, then this would be marked “M1A1”. So I suggest that the markings written on this event SMG should be changed into a M1A1 model or maybe change the name of the gun into “M1 Thompson Para”.
I just quickly passed by a feedback about that event SMG, it talks about the gun stats. Specifically, the recoil (vertical and horizontal), the event SMG has more recoil than the tech tree BR2 Thompson. These two SMGs are the same, so do the recoil is.

What I want to know is is this a legitimate modified Thompson used by paratroopers or is it a fantasy, because so far I’ve found nothing

Ive seen images of it being used in combat (minus the 2 mags taped together), and Ive seen at least one image of 2 taped magazines being used with a Thompson, however that one had a stock.
So its not a completely made up weapon at least.

Without the stock, I believe the Para Thompson would naturally have more recoil since you don’t have your shoulder to stabilize the weapon.

First of all that, second of all the dual mag does have faster reload.
Is the weapon good enough for BR2? Maybe? Its deff fine in BR3.
I think American playerbase suffers from the good old skill issue. I really like the squad, performs great as the door kicker its supposed to be - cause you know, NO WEAPON STOCK.

Yeah, you’re right about that no stock smg’s recoil but I meant about the models of the gun, M1 or M1A1 as they both are the same models manufactured but simplified.

Well soldiers, even paratroopers, have to right to have some inspiration, no?
They surely improvised the mags with duct tape historically like they taped Thompson SMGs, M3 Grease gun and even M1 Carbines like Audie Murphy did. (Found that in the Wikipedia, History category Jungle style - Wikipedia)
So, that Thompson wasn’t modified like you said but it’s the mags. But in game, you can say it’s modified because that event Thompson doesn’t have a stock.
