BUT still They were fine and flew to the moon to find a Nazi base.
when I tried it today, it succeeded in shooting down easily

Some still seem incredibly hard to take down, the Il-2 (1941) and SBU-2 for example.
They can eat huge amounts of rounds.
Yes, the damage looks ok now but the control of the flak…jeeez that turning speed. I would rather see less damage (needs to hit the plane with more shots) but more fire rate and ammo. It should look like when you shoot with a fighter plane. That would give the mood. Also to limit the killing of infantry they should lock the vertical angle. The lowest should be 10-15 degree (cannot make it completely horizontal).
It can be tricky still depending on the angle they come from. But an good pilot knows how to avoid AA if they get the chance to notice it being active that is ^^
