It has to be said.. the Cons DF is against

With the merge looming ever closer, the latest decisions have not gone down very well, from my clan, people are already suffering from burnout, playing other games and even not playing at all, something has changed, even I have started playing Big Action over base game, I reluctantly grind events, not going to make this essay don’t worry but will put points, trying not to repeat myself!

TLDR - read first 2-4 words each para, and end bit.

1 Redundant squads and vehicles - People post merge will have A lot of redundant squads they will never use again, unless role playing or just messing about (which tbh event means getting XP, which means getting kills and playing half decently, so that logic is flawed).

2 - Premium players / whales, we were recently stung in a dirty move with pacific fire bomb planes, that was a huge deterrent to buy more… not sure what DF can do to make this up now to be honest, it’s done already

3 - custom mods - no XP so even if there is one there to enjoy, the lack of XP (slow promises) really act as a deterrent to players still grinding.

4 - the Relentless Events (Paras, AA tanks etc) have burnt alot of us out, before I would play the game for fun, now I’m playing it for FOMO that is all… 10k a day, 20k every 2d not a good or realistic game model imho, it just cause burnout! (Events used to be Twitch drops, some of the coolest vehicles were just watch a CC for 4-5 hrs)

5 - there will be no choice, some people hate Stalingrad and will leave that match, or refuse to play it even before merge, now you will have no choice, this is a big one for me…

6 - the constraint of max 2 squads has hit some of my clan hard and they are not happy, Big Action, Titan Rise had you earn points, why the devs haven’t done that I don’t know.

7 - The balance or unbalance of campaigns, Tunisia axis is now on top, but Berlin is axis, not much left which is a fair fight.

8 - Long promises and Bugs, Bipods not working, bugs left for 6 months, planes were broken for over a year… this is a beta but you don’t keep players when detpacks stop working! Or tail gunners break, these are fundamental game play issues.

9 - There is no end game, unless play BA Mod, I have no reason to keep playing, BA is end game Enlisted and so many reasons as to why… already discussed.

10 - DF underestimated Merge and matchmaking, this killed our content, it was clearly obvious we were lacking content due to them totally ignoring how players think, this is general common sense.

These are not going to stop me playing but are valid reasons, which o don’t think need defending or discussion, but if you insist then feel free.

I invented a lot of money in this game and it will be sad to potentially let it go, I got my money worth though so not complaining, it took me through, COVID, divorce and saved me a lot of money in the long run.

I hope the devs and helpers, who overall have been very responsive to their players, really can pull it out of the bag and save this game, but if I asked for as many reasons why as max level I should keep playing, I would love to see 10 why I should play.

Personally I have a burnout for a long time now.

I can't really tell why is that but I have some suspicions.

My guess is that I just unlocked all things I really cared about and I don’t want to grind more because the gameplay is just tedious for me. I preffer to launch BFV and just not bother with more grind.

I had 1 month pause from the game. Now I love it yet again. Even tho it’s definitely not perfect. There’s no better wwii fps atm for me personally.

At least BFV let you play powerful vehicles for free as long as you grind enough points instead forcing us to pay $40 to get Calliope (greedy much?) even tho some people like me already purchased them in WT. Sturmtiger was my favorite.

Gotta have a break every now and then. Usually i take anywhere from a month to 6 month break then come back anew

Sort of the beauty of these mmo type games

Battlefield games get discontinued too quickly

Warthunders gets new content frequently over 10 years, hoping Enlisted is in early days yet

Whole this year is just one event after another. In fact - a hidden form of a grind.

For me - they are only adding more and more content… but without care of the future balance.

Its true that we have had too many events.
Though they won’t admit it, they are out of ideas.
DF is well aware that our patience is thin and that they didn’t produce many results in the past months. But they are working very hard on this game and are willing to do whatever it takes to save the game that is why released many amazing squads as events which they could have sold us for 40 bucks each.

Yup, they appear to be trying pretty hard.

They are basically doing major foundation alterations. Once they have done that, It should allow them to progress other content much faster and more frequently.

As in most things, the hardest work is in the Base prep, or foundation prep. Even harder If you have to redo it because it wasnt good enough.

It took warthunder a good while to build up to the constant flow of content we see now

Same here
Big action was a new breath of fresh air.
Without changing fundemantal mechanics, game turns into another kind of beast.
Tanks are way more important
Mgs are way more usefull
Smg spam simply doesnt mean ez win
And every kind of low tier weapon is actually usefull.
Tomyzz is a genius
This mod must an official game mod

Well said there OP.

One of the main selling points of this game from the beginning is being able to pick and play different campaigns, sure it may have its own problems like grinding for the same gun a couple of times but they could’ve went with the nation tech tree system but with campaigns where weapons and equipment can be filtered according to the scope of the campaign.

Campaign system is not just some decoration or a minor one but instead one of the major foundations that made Enlisted in the first place. As for content they could’ve had filled with more maps including some iconic ones that are still missing like Pavlov’s House, Mamayev Kurgan, Grain Elevator, Gumrak Station, etc in Stalingrad or UBahn, Reichstag, suburbs in Berlin instead of adding more campaigns with small map pools.

yea i really want to fight in the reichstag i mean im pretty sure the door is open but the gray zone is over the door

Try look on a replay that’s in Koenigsplatz or Moat and use free roam to see that the Reichstag in game is empty inside.

i agree with some points and dont agree with some other.

agreed

i am somewhat neutral about this. mods can be easily abused for getting loads of xp, but then again it is shit to earn no xp with legitimate mods.

agreed. too many events and they are quite demanding for time/score so i usually default to farming score with p47.

agreed. i hope they will introduce map voting or map/mode veto. they said it will be considered after merge in one of the early merge topics.

i dont really care about this, just if they introduced this they should have been consistent and put this limitation for premium squads also.

and this is one of the major reasons why i like merge. no more constant swings to easy side.

agreed. basic game should be polished first before adding any new content.
