It happens to me every 2-3 games - when I am in the battle and want to spawn for the first time, the game greets me with the screen you see below. I am not in control of my squad, however my soldiers are physically “down there” as you can see on the kill feed and on the 2nd screenshot (taken right after I “spawned” for real). I have no idea what could cause this as I have a decently fast internet connection and a PC that meets the recommended requirements, let alone the minimal ones.

I think that’s due to server desync.
Could be related to recent DOS issues, but in general it would depend on the “server farm” / region you’re logging into and your ISP connection to it.
It’s been happening to me since I’ve started playing though, so since the first day of open beta.
Yeah it may be an ISP connection issue then that’s resulting in server desync.
I’m in Australia so my ping is always 250+ and we just get used to all these shenanigans. I sometimes don’t see weapons in my squads hands for up to 20 seconds after the squad has spawned in and is moving towards some point on the map.

I’m in Poland, so we do have our own server. And I now have a different internet provider than I had before, so I don’t think it’s internet related at all. Unless I have some weird bad luck when it comes to that…

, although I’m about 15km out of the CBD, so clearly Telstra’s hamsters are struggling this far out.

Check them out, i swear by them, i even get emails, every time there’s maintenance, your service will out for 30m between 4am 4.30am etc, there good, and no Indian call centers

I used to have this too and it disappeared completely after I bought a new pc.
Perhaps your pc and videocard are a bit underpowered.
Yes they meet the requirements, yes you can play the game, but that doesnt mean all works optimal.
