Is there a reason why we need this information while flying?

I’m talking about that text at the bottom saying “you are controlling vehicle movement”.
What’s the point of that?

It’s for later when they eventually make tail-gunners functional. Because you know that some goof will switch, forget and then come complain about not being able to fly his plane

Soo players know that they are controling vehicle with theyr mouse. Mouse can be used even for freelook soo thats why.

well it would seem obvious if you see the tail of your plane that you’re not in control :rofl:

I would like an option to disable that tips.

Like on tanks to get inside the hatch or look outside. After all this months playing, I already know what to do. I don’t need that text tips. An option to disable them would be amazing to have.

A lot of other games allow for the UI to be customized to the info you want. Hopefully DF will at some point add that as well.

Looking at everything else, I’m almost surprised that line is not written in huge red letters in the center of the screen. Interface here is very bad in general. Not “it does not function” kind of bad, but still with lots of annoying and pointless elements. Meanwhile lots of things that need to be adjustable / displayed - aren’t.

For example, why do we still have TAS instead of IAS or at least an option to choose which one you want? Or why do we still have annoying green lightbulbs constantly light up on everything? Including things that don’t require attention and contain nothing new? Or why does the killfeed display the gun and not the vehicle? All it does is teach the player to actively ignore the garbage being displayed all over the screen.

I live in California, yes people are this stupid I will assure you.

Even if that was the case, so what? At some point you have to give people the freedom to learn or suffer. You can’t stop them from suffering either way, so might as well not mock and insult everyone else.

I agree with the gun one here tho, I like it and its pretty easy to learn the differences, at least for me, and if you are knew and don’t realize the firepower behind a vehicle knowing what kind of hate it can unleash on you is nice to know.

Many vehicles have the same guns. Especially autocannons and machine guns, but anti tank guns too. Knowing which vehicles are around is infinitely more useful than knowing which particular gun on them scores the kills while not knowing what that gun is attached to. Furthermore, there’s no reason why they can’t dsiplay both or let the player decide which one shoud be displayed.

Both would be a little clustered, but a choice would be nice, I wouldn’t change anything because thats how i like it, but its not an end all be all for everyone.
