Is there a reason new gold weapons can't be bought?

I noticed that the new gold order weapons can’t be purchased with gold. Is there a reason for this?

It always has been like that. Guns are always not buyable with gold as long as they are part from the newest battlepass. When the new one expires, they are available for gold
