Well, the Japanese did construct a large number of bunkers and fortifications in Manchuria. Although Japan and the Soviet Union remained at peace until the August Storm, the Japanese still built many bunkers and fortifications for defense. According to documentaries, there might have been some machine gun bunkers on cliffs and howitzers in pits. Watching domestic video bloggers explore these structures left behind by the Japanese, you can see that beneath each cylindrical machine gun bunker, there is a tunnel. Pointing out each underground shelter is truly spectacular. In comparison, in the Burma battlefield, about one-tenth of the bunkers were never utilized at all. I’m worried that these bunkers might be overlooked this time, just like before, merely covered by grass, becoming trenches where guns can’t even be mounted.
I personally hope for Hailar fortress
The key is their attitude in handling this. Originally, whether due to demolitions or other reasons, there were plenty of bridgehead projects. If it were like Normandy, where you only get a cluster of bunkers, that would be too stingy. Honestly, there should at least be crossfire setups, with mortars in the rear and large-caliber guns shelling from behind. In the only American offensive landing scenario, the German bunker clusters were given so sparingly. It’s really frustrating. I hope that, at least regarding the fortifications here in Japan, there would be many usable cannons that can be deployed or tanks fixed inside as stationary turrets. Or perhaps a bunch of bunkers. Then the Soviet forces could rely on large-caliber weapons to blast through and attack. I clearly know that on the Eastern Front, there were SU-122s.
And give what to the attackers what to prevent defender victory on every match, in real life the ussr had an advantage in every class, infantry, tanks, planes artillery machine guns. It be fun for a symmetric balance but enlisted has never done that before.
That’s precisely the key point. When it comes to defense, you really have to consider whether you’ve packed in a lot of AT guns, heavy machine guns, and so on. It’s best to go all out with barbed wire, trenches, and the like. Historically, by that stage, artillery and tanks were five times that of Japan’s. The time it took to overwhelm them was extremely short.
However, the Japanese likened the swamps to the Ardennes Forest, perhaps hoping they could halt the Soviet advance. Yet, despite having clusters of bunkers, their defensive depth was insufficient—far from comparable to the Maginot Line.
that is my point what are they going to limit japan or whatever country defends to oops all infantry while the attackers get 3 tanks and 3 planes
or limit the defender to 1 tank 1 plane while the attackers get 4 planes and 4 tanks that does not feel like a fun map.
on the other hand you cant give the attackers and defenders the same ratio of tanks and plane and infantry to each other.
