Is it true that the Premium G41 ""para"" Squad can use smgs?

just wondering.

Reasong being, currently doing all presets slots for all possible squads:

but i’m not sure if Engineers with Smg are still a thing or not.

i know the Event one has access to stgs and assault rifles.

I think Engineers and some other classes should be allowed to use SMGs since they’re a close quarters weapon. They make sense for Support classes

no.

we don’t need even more smgs more than there are already.

i’d be fine with a dedicated event engineer squad that can use smgs though.

I hope they make it a feature tbh, old “Collectible” premiums suck, this would make them more desirable, and would therefore make Gaijin more money while also giving players a fun squad. its a win win

I have that G 41 premium squad for years, but the one I have was never able to change the main premium weapon.

It is sad really, because the G 41 is a tech tree weapon so the game should allow the player to change the weapon like the current Russian paratrooper squads and several other squads with tech tree weapons already can in Enlisted.

It is from a marketing point of view really stupid for Gaijin to not allow premium squads to change their weapons. There are many premium squads that nowadays are really not worth buying, but they would be worth buying if the player could outfit them with tech tree weapons.

If the premium squad weapons would be better than the tech tree weapons then I could understand, but more often than not they really are not better at all. If the premium squad setups would be better than tech tree squads then I could understand, but more often than not the premium squads are smaller and with less useful soldier types compared to the tech tree squads.

Nowadays the main selling point of premium squads seems to be their uniforms. So if the deciders at Gaijin are smart, then then will allow the players to change the weapons of all premium squads to tech tree weapons. It will without a doubt lead to more premium squads being sold.

And that not only goes for infantry squads, but also for vehicle and aircraft premium units. It would be smart of Gaijin if crews of premium aircraft and premium vehicles would be able to change their aircraft/vehicle to a tech tree aircraft/vehicle, as long as the crew size requirements are the same.
