I personally don’ think so. You’ve already got the full award for the kill. Assist is assist for a reason I guess?

Yes, tanks are kinda busted because your crew members also get assists when you kill someone.
This gives a lot of points and is also a reason as to why the score point to xp conversion rate is lower than for infantry squads.

A kill is a kill, and an assist is an assist. The former is worth more points, and the latter is worth less points, and they should not be confused.
