I find them the same. The Gewehr 43 has a detachable mag, but no bayonet, and I feel the recoil and sights are worse. The Gewehr 41 has a bayonet but fixed magazine and ok sights and recoil.
The biggest upside and downside is that one is BR III, the other is BR IV.
It you think G41 is good, you are going to love G43.
But watch out, you can get to BR5 matches with it. End up against SF rifles (full auto rifles).

the gewehr 43 blows all semi autos away it has a 2.1 reload speed and ten rounds the only better weapon may be the svt 36 or 40
its far better than the 3 second 8 round garand the 3.4 second johnson the gewehr 41 4.8 seconds

IMO its hard to compare Gewehr43 to anything at the moment since there are only 3 BR4 semi-auto rifles in the tech tree:
Gewehr 43
SVT-40
ZH-29
Gewehr 43 comes with excellent reload speed and comfy easy to use sights while the rest of its stats (damage, dispersion ect…) are about the same as other semi-auto rifles (standardised stats).
SVT-40 has slightly slower reload and a bit worse sight but comes with a bayonet which is always useful to have, everything else is basically the same.
ZH-29 has higher damage than both SVT and G43 but has awful sights which are generally hated by most players.
Other BR4 SA rifles are hardly comparable since a rifle like the Mondragon/SVT Bubdonov is obviously much better with its 30/20 round magazine than any of these rifles. But those are premium/BP/event weapons so are limited.
If we compare G43 to other tech tree SA rifles like G41 or Type 5 rifle (both are BR3) than its obviously better than them because it has higher damage and much faster reload which is a big game changer in my opinion.
Another thing important to mention is BR5 uptier…
A G43 is heavy disadvantage compared to having any select fire rifles like T20, FG42, AVT-40 ect…
So yeah better than G41, but much worse than FG42. I hope this helps.

Gewehr 43 is insanelly good better than Gewehr 41 but the best option is the ZH-29 cuz diverse reasons such as having a bayonet and higher damage aswell
Just make sure to not end on br5 because you aint gonna survive against Automatic rifles spam
In my over 3.5 years of playing I can honestly say I have NEVER used the Gewehr 43, but then, I rarely use any BR4 weapons UNLESS they are competitive in BR5, since by adding just one BR4 weapon I am ALWAYS tossed into BR5. So, I use the Gewehr at BR3, skip the G43 and go right to the FG42 II.
Meh, it’s good in a vacuum, much better than the G41. Good sights, easily manageable recoil etc. I prefer it over the ZH-29 myself, but the problem is its Br4. Since Br4 often finds itself against Br5 an otherwise solid weapon becomes mediocre. Its the same fate as most Br4 equipment, unfortunately.

G41 is bad, G43 is also kinda bad - but only because 10 round semis kinda suck in general in BR4.
Unlocking BR3 and BR4 SMGs, Assaulters have gotten powerful and accurate enough to out compete semi autos in mid range combat.
