What do you guys think?
To me it feels like the bot pathfinding is getting more and more retarded. I run more and more into cases where some bots get randomly stuck, the squad spreads over huge distance and the orientation of the bots is completely fucked when you switch to them (you are walking towards X, squad is walking towards X, you switch bot and you face opposite direction instead).

They run the longest and dumbest possible ways to my marked position. So yes, delete the “I” in AI.

Yeah, it has been really ridiculous lately. It’s been small things that have gotten worse overtime, I don’t know if the back-end for the AI has just kinda degraded with everything else getting piled on.
I have continuously had them stand directly in front of me while doing literally anything. They love standing in front of my AT cannons, MGs, etc etc. If it’s a custom match and teamkill/damage is on, half the time they’ll run in front of the MG mid-fire and die, or they’ll jump in front of the barrel of an AT right as I shoot it and fuckin explode.
This doesn’t take into account that when you have them go somewhere, they prefer to stand in front of open windows and get shot, or stand OUTSIDE the building that I marked.
If they have a self preservation method, tune it a tiny tiny fraction UP lol
Depends on the navmesh on the map
Send a screenshot when it happens
Usually should be enough to be able to replicate and report it

When i respawn as one of my AI they are ALWAYS facing the wrong way, no matter is happening, where they are, what orders they’ve been given, or how many markers are placed. Whatever the worst way for me to be facing when i respawn into their body for the given situation, that is where they are looking. They have ZERO awareness.

Haven’t played in a few days but theres this 1 map on allies where bots decide to walk around the building onto the line of fire instead of taking the same path I took to get there. It’s not the new one that recently came out but the ones that is a town with a bunch of store fronts with long streets vs Germany.
Also im still having a issues with enemy bots literally obliterate me because I ran up to them ( not melee range) but when the enemy literally does the same thing they stand there completely braindead getting squad wiped. My bots are always on aggressive and on close but they seem to forget they have weapons or dont care that their squad mates are literally dying in front of them or they just watch enemies walk past them if theyre following me or if theyre commanded to stand in a area that has a few obstacles blocking a constant line of sight for them ( literally a pole or a brunt truck that the enemy sprint past).
Sometimes they do shoot enemies when theyre super close to our spawn or if you command them to stand in a open area and have a clear line of sight of where theyre coming from especially if you spam mark their location but close combat and loud running through bushes they seem to give up on my end.
Since I started playing almost five years ago, I think the player bots have gotten progressively worse. Either the Dev’s continue to lower their intelligence, or bot tech is above their pay grades. On the other hand, the enemy AI bots have got progressively more Rambo like, so, it’s obvious which bots the dev’s devote their time to. If their goal is to have our bots be cannon fodder, at least they could do enough to make that NOT SO OBVIOUS.
My squad bots I often say have the collective IQ of a bag of wet potato’s and are more times then not, the reason I stop playing after I have met my daily objectives.
it happens from time to time. that the navmesh brakes on some maps.
Latest I found yesterday was on Confrontation Moat East.
No bots could clear/navigate around these sandbags.
for some reason as well, AI are struggling with windows a lot as well
