Intense dogfights

Idea: implement something similar to dogfights in ground AB in War Thunder.
Realization: in 5 seconds after plane spawn players in enemy team with planes in setup can start a dogfight. If this happens, timer resets back to 5 seconds and now players in both teams can join to the dogfight, up to 3 from each side (including ones already in the air)

Planes: all temporary planes (no matter fighters or attackers), goes without payload. Participating in this kind of dogfight doesn’t count as taking plane squad.

Dogfight: all temporary dogfight participants have 60 seconds to kill/damage enemy planes. Squads on the ground goes under AI passive control. Exiting plane teleports you back to your ground squad. After 60 seconds all temporary participants are also teleported back to the ground.
Damaged but undestroyed planes counts as an assist.

Additional detail: Player can’t participate in 2 dogfights in a row. Unaccepted dogfight also counts as a dogfight.

no, we need people on the ground controlling their squads, capturing points. if people want to dogfight they can go play war thunder. also this encourages people to wait for a minute after game start in spawn screen which is already cancer

however dogfights do have a place, if somewhat limited, in enlisted. to make dogfights possible, plane spawns (but not resupply points) should be moved 2 - 3 km back. this addresses the issue of a CAS pilot making his run, turning round, and being immediately shot down because the enemy plane spawn is like 1km away from the battle zone.

Fighter pilots, idling whole battle in the air, because there are no enemy planes – nah, that’s fine.
60 second dogfight – oh no, this is horrible, we need this pilot on the ground.

Fighter pilots need lots of xp to progress but they don’t know when exactly enemy aircraft will appear, so the only way to progress is to spend all the time in the air, moving spawns wouldn’t help it at all. So I suggest to pack all players, interested in air combat, into the small dogfights 4-5 times per match, so they won’t idle in the air aimlessly.

okay, but what if only 1 player from attacker team dogfights, while 3 from defenders decide to dogfight? then there are fewer defenders on the ground and the point will get steamrolled. it just won’t work

That juat means that defenders are stupid.
They can also camp on spawn or doing other useless stuff and you have nothing to do with it.

If they ever increase player count or map size they could add more vehicles and planes

I think it has no sense completely. I’m a fighter pilot, Moscow camp Axis side, flying biplane because I like it. I’m max leveled and max upgraded on the 13th level of the campaign, without premium or upgrades. And have been max level for a while.

And, it’s NEVER boring, as I constantly have to help with landing IL-2’s, I’s, Yak’s, and sometimes even Pe’s.

So I do nothing but dogfight, as these ILs are too confident, and when they have landed safely, I deliver gifts to bois on the ground.

What I’d really do is fix the damaged model. It got much better lately, but still it’s a joke that sometimes I one-shot IL through the cupola, and sometimes it takes the entirety of 1000 rounds to make it smoke.
