Ineffective grenades

Basic grenades are having trouble detonating, often not killing inside a closed room and the building appears to absorb the blast. the problem is found in almost all factions. Impact grenades often hit the target without exploding or explode without doing any damage. I wish they would start checking this bug.

Impact grenades have a much smaller blast radius than frag grenades, and both of them do the majority of their damage as fragmentation damage, which is stopped by terrain, and occasionally sandbags.

So it really comes down to WHERE they detonate.

  • Impacts need to be close to the intended target,

  • Frags are most effective when they are cooked well. If you just throw them without cooking them, there is a good chance they get picked up and tossed elsewhere or detonate behind cover after the target ran away.
    (If you want them to be VERY effective, learn to airburst them! I get TONS of kills by doing this!)

  • White phosphorus. though they were nerfed (as they rightful should have), they are very effective at eliminating targets in an area with various cover, ie clearing rooms. Again, like with frags, you need to adequately cook them so there is less chance of targets running away or throwing it back.

There isn’t a bug as far as I’ve seen, just players that are trying to move too quickly with run-and-gun tactics not taking the time to properly aim a throw or cook a grenade.
