I heard about this game only a few days ago and I’m already an active player. Well done!
However, I feel that a game with such interesting features isn’t able to use its full potential at the moment. I think what we need is much larger maps and the ability to give orders to your soldiers individually and place them on exact positions. This will increase the strategic value of the game (and make vehicles more relevant.)
So… let me think of a random scenario to help me explain my point better.
Imagine a much larger map, where there are 4 villages that can be held for points. Seizing control of a village is not a matter of sitting in a small circle, but a matter of clearing out (most of) the village. So a defending player can choose to hold a certain part of the village which contains a couple of good buildings. And he has a squad of 9 men. He can place some of them specifically by some windows, some in front of doors, etc. Will get even more interesting when the player is using the engineer class.
An attacking player can decide to start his attack from a certain hillpoint around the village. He places two snipers on top of the hill to cover him and moves in with the rest of his men. He spots the defenders’s defensive position, puts three guys with rifles behind a wall to put suppressive fire on them and moves from the flank with his remaining few men with submachine guns.
There are so many possibilities. I really hope to see an an increase of the strategic value of the game.
