Increasing the strategic value of the game with bigger maps

I heard about this game only a few days ago and I’m already an active player. Well done!
However, I feel that a game with such interesting features isn’t able to use its full potential at the moment. I think what we need is much larger maps and the ability to give orders to your soldiers individually and place them on exact positions. This will increase the strategic value of the game (and make vehicles more relevant.)

So… let me think of a random scenario to help me explain my point better.

Imagine a much larger map, where there are 4 villages that can be held for points. Seizing control of a village is not a matter of sitting in a small circle, but a matter of clearing out (most of) the village. So a defending player can choose to hold a certain part of the village which contains a couple of good buildings. And he has a squad of 9 men. He can place some of them specifically by some windows, some in front of doors, etc. Will get even more interesting when the player is using the engineer class.

An attacking player can decide to start his attack from a certain hillpoint around the village. He places two snipers on top of the hill to cover him and moves in with the rest of his men. He spots the defenders’s defensive position, puts three guys with rifles behind a wall to put suppressive fire on them and moves from the flank with his remaining few men with submachine guns.

There are so many possibilities. I really hope to see an an increase of the strategic value of the game.

The technology has been there for a long time. Brothers in Arms did it. Arma 3 did it.

Devs said in a future update we will be able to give some individual orders to our squad members

Bigger maps sounds fun,

I am also for more players per side even if it means smaller squad sizes to make it all work

More players, bigger maps, perhaps even more/bigger squads. Come on, it’s 2021. Let’s use our technology to build something revolutionary.

Squads of 7-9 are still good, 12 would be even better however since that’s what most armies in World War Two operated on, at least Canada, Germany, and Britain. And bigger maps all around would just be a huge Improvement. The thing is if they just started making maps much larger it would be a near immediate improvement.

It’s a good idea but unfortunately it means redesigning a good portion of the game and giving up on the what the devs want to push, and they will never do that.

I would be happy if they simply increased the command range from 50 meters to 150m. Its way to low to be of any use currently.

YEP BIGGER MAPS ! i feel like i´m in Call of Duty sometimes… and next Problem with the small Maps is 150-200+ Kills per Round are not funny. Now i got 200 Hours inGame it gets Boring.
i wish not so many Kills but Quality Rounds.
