Increasing the Amount of Sabateurs

I was initially apprehensive about this new Sabateur class. But after some thought I have come to understand it and can welcome it to the game. However there is 1 main problem with it. This game is a squad based shooter, the entire point is that we control a squad of soldiers that act as extra lives as well as to fight alongside us. As of now Sabateur would only have 1 single soldier. This is a complete antithesis to what this game is about. Even Sniper has a dedicated squad with multiple soldiers. I feel the amount of Sabateurs should be increased so it is an actual squad

Sabateurs being just one single soldier make it the most vulnerable of all classes. At least with other squads you have a chance at survival because maybe a few of your AI will survive. But Sabateur is just one and done. You’d be killed before you even reach the frontline and barely able to do your job

I’ve researched how during the war sabateurs and spies often worked in small teams so there is precedent for there being more than one. That gives us more soldiers to fight with us and more lives. So now the question is how many Sabateurs do you think they should have. I feel these are reasonable numbers

I look as it is the devs current agenda to have Sabateur be just 1, even then it’s just a temporary class and may not even be added fully in the first place

So my thread is that if Sabateurs were to be increased how many do you think there should be

Also, as I said this game is supposed to be a squad based shooter so everyone should agree on principle there should at least be more than 1. This isn’t Lone Fighters. Otherwise it shouldn’t be added at all

That’s not the point - but the point is you should change your poll to allow for people to vote against your idea.

Devs said that this is deliberate as they thought disguiseing multiple sabos from the same dead soldiers uniform would be to unrealistic and having to find multiple dead bodies to frustrating as otherwise the squad mates would ruin your cover if they are not fully disguised.

So this isnt just devs said more than 1 is not needed for balance here, but more than one has some serious logistical issues with how they would need to implement it.

Funny how they pick and choose when and when not to be realistic :sweat_smile:

I think there’s nothing wrong if there were multiple. You grab one uniform, then your whole squad transforms.

Although it may be easier said than done

Please, the official explanation of “saboteurs” is actually that of spies carrying out sabotage behind enemy lines, not guerrilla squads carrying out infiltration behind enemy lines with a squad’s worth of weapons.
