Increase the limit of some engineer structures

I find that the current limits on sandbags, razorwire, and tanktraps are way too low, 10, 10, and 6 is just too low.

I think that it should be expanded to:

  • 14 Razor wire
  • 14 sandbags
  • 8 tank traps

This would help to promote more unique and thoughtful gameplay, and it’s just fun.

Also replacing built structures should be expanded to all things engineers can build, same as Rally Points and Ammo Boxes.

because they can be used in broken ways suck as putting a tank barrier inside a building thus blocking sometime one of only two entrances like with a bunker. or as shown would be enough to block both bridges on a map thus preventing tanks from advancing at all. i would be fine doubling the amount if they were prevented from completely blocking any path they should be a hinderance not a wall.

\one sick player built four tank barriers blocking the door of a bunker then layered razor wire preventing people from entering the bunker through the roof thus making capture impossible, and no its not clever its cheap.

Oh, shit. I just googled it and found out that “barbed wire” is actually called “razor wire”. Sorry, I didn’t know that.

I think there should be more Czech hedgehogs but not more barbed wire.

Well, I think we could do another vote. That would be to make these formulas give higher health points during artillery fire and small TNT explosions, so that we wouldn’t need to call for a round of artillery fire just to level out the buildings I’ve built. Sometimes in map defense, we lack cover and such. Sometimes I also feel that the quantity is sometimes insufficient. Although this is a fast-paced game, there are always defense breaks. Currently, due to certain restrictions, the application scope of these several engineering structures is still too limited. If we could have something like some mods, to build a complete trench or anti-tank concrete, and a command post, that would be great.

It is waaaay too low right now. Structures built at a past cp were returned instantly in the past… then it wasnt to my horror one game. Nothing like gettin stuck in? Guns blazin from.a stormin squad hoping for me to seal.off the doorwwys and windows to only to have a few barbs and hedgehogs left… oh well a mine it is then.

Honestly they just need to make explosive packs break barbed wire again, it made the barbed wire carpets an easily counterable strategy, instead of now trying to smoke it while you crawl in an engineer to cut all the wire that he can before being riddled with 10 million SMG rounds.

I think the limits should be higher for them all, if only so 1 person on the team can be an effective engineer without relying on others who will never use the engineer.

Honestly if I had a choice, we should have a shared team stockpile of defensive buildings like in Mount and Blade Warband NW. Meaning that 1-2 players playing engineers on a team could make the same amount of defences as 3-4 players, just the time to build increases ofc.

Its extremely inconsistent I find, maybe Im just very unlucky, but Id say the last 10 times Ive tried it, maybe once has it worked? Not even sure of that.

Honestly, with just that little bit of barbed wire, a satchel charge should definitely be able to destroy it reliably — it shouldn’t require artillery or tank shells to clear. That thing isn’t some solid cylindrical barrier — TNT should be able to pass right through and land on the ground, not just stick on top.

In that case, I think they could also update some voice lines — like “Let’s build a bigger command post,” “Let’s dig deeper trenches,” or “Let’s work together to build something.”

If engineers alone could create something as solid as the prefab bunkers DF gives us, that would be really cool. It would really unleash players’ creativity.

Tank barriers should simply be changed that they can only be build outside.

This shouldn’t be super difficult to do, considering AA guns used to have this limitation back in the days.

Actually I dont remember, maybe this hasn’t been changed… I can’t quite remember.
