Increase the ammunition capacity of the M1 Carbine

Its magazine capacity is only half that of the VG1-5. The total ammunition count should be consistent with standard assault rifles—15/105 is a good choice.

I thought you meant the individual magazines at first…

I think the reason why the M1 Carbine has less ammo storage is because it’s BR II, unlike the VG 1-5. Instead, I would rather they halved the ammo storage of the VG 1-5. That way, we can have both VG 1-5 and M1 Carbine and VG 1-5 in BR II. I really don’t feel either should be BR III.

The 5-round and 10-round full-power semi-automatic rifles have already been unified in terms of ammunition capacity. The developers forgot about the M1 Carbine.

The M1 Carbine is in a hard spot, since it’s purely a semi-auto rifle. The VG 1-5 is an assaulter weapon too, so it follows a different set of rules. I think the M1 Carbine against the VG 1-5 is the wrong comparison. If anything, it should be against the Pedersen device or SW light rifle. They are more comaprable in role than the VG 1-5. I have been pushing for the M1 Carbine to become “volkssturm rifle” class, so that it can be equipped on assaulters, tankers and pilots too.

Both IMOP should be BR2.

the VG 1-5 actually used to be, as I’m sure you would remember. The VG 1-5 actually does slightly more damage than the M1 Carbine (8.0 vs 7.2). But I feel if the M1 Carbine was buffed to 8.0, it could come down, even though it has a larger magazine capacity. But that can be offset by a longer reload (which I’m pretty sure it already does).

I love the VG 1-5, but its way too powerful for BR2, its a fun BR3 weapon. Especially when you get Berlin for maximum larp.

Its a underrated menance honestly. If you tap fire it fast, you can wipe multiple squads at once, Certainly done it before and will likely continue to do with it.

However giving the M1 the ability like it to be equipped to all the classes would be fantastic.

no not even if it was twice the reload time
a 30 round semi auto rarely has to reload
yes if it was a br2 assaulter
now if you want a 30 round m1 carbine and a 30 round vg 1-5 we can talk

0r at br 2 a standard m1 carbine 15 rounds and a vg 1-5 with half the ammo of said carbine or 30 rounds maybe but it only gets 15 rounds per backpack ammo slot so small 45 round total big bag 75 rounds total

Maybe it’s my shitty game lag, but lately I sense the M1 Carbine feels puny with every shot. All those white marks when hit to the chest, it’s like the game is laughing back at me. But I’d definitely pick that one over the VG 1-5 any time. The M1 Carbine is the one I give to my US radiomen for immersion reasons. It just looks cool.

Or even better lets to mess it up? Both weapons fit nicely where they are at atm, no need to rock the boat for them, there is no need to nerf or buff either one so they sit at the same BR.

I bought this premium squad a long time ago because it was dirt cheap at the time and I had dreams that maybe someday the Dev’s would do the right thing and unlock their premium squads. So, it sat unused for a couple years until about a month ago when I started for the first time to play some custom two man matches where I could use squads I would normally not use. I have never been good with a boltie, mostly because I have had eye troubles the past couple years, but finally got that corrected (knock on wood). So, since I can’t change the weapons, I gave them all 1-5 backups and use them in BR3, and I use the Moschetto as their backup.
