Increase queue times to gather real players - The Biggest problem we need to talk about

I really love this game, it’s one of my favorites. But this week especially the bot squads filling out the teams are becoming a huge problem. Sometimes I want to chill and shoot some enemies but i’m pressured to cap the points solo.

I just left an Omaha match after 95% capping the point solo and no one bothered to pick up the final slack as I sprayed the (still operating) MG42s. The same for the previous match and the others this morning. It’s just stupid and I might as well play a single player game if this is how Enlisted is going to turn out sadly.

I’m a vehement defender of this game and it’s style, but this I can’t defend. I worry about the people who don’t make posts on here and reddit and just go back to another game.

I would much rather wait 1-2-3 minutes for a game FULL of real people. These are so much fun when everyone has rallies and are chatting but recently this problem has become way more apparent in the last few days.

Maybe i’m just reaching burnout since hitting this game hard since the CBT, but I’m kind of getting sick of it now. Please, we don’t mind waiting for better quality games.

Those are actual players, they’re just that bad

Bots in Lone Fighter are set to run to objectives and cap/defend it. Unless they get stuck infinitely on windows or trying to jump/climb a ledge they can’t jump/climb, those should be humans you are playing with.

Or are you saying there are no bots because they all die before they can reach the objective?

Nope, sadly we have real bot squads in games. I’ve witnessed many last man standing squads in invasion who are stuck in places (like how your own bots get) who are running up against a wall. It’s not often, but it does happen.

A reddit user also posted a pattern of the naming convention of these bots, normally two words together and maybe a double digit number at the end of their name. Some players at the bottom of the leaderboard will have next to no kills (I think players who leave, stay all game). Even bot squads get kills but the gap between real players is extreme.

You can tell bot squads because they’re usually stationery and you can see all of them panning and scanning and have no visible leader who is out in front and running.

This is doubly confirmed in matches with no chats, no pings and single sided stomping.

I know you get stupid players, but having closest spawn points not instantly captured back like an alarm bell, and not defending the bunker on Omaha just isn’t feasible if all players were human.

I would take toxicity and smacktalk in chat over the absolute barren landscape that Enlisted games mostly are these days. I’ve never seen an MP game feel so dead inside which is a crying shame as the game itself and it’s current and future potential is amazing.

This information you are talking about is incomplete. Yes, some bots can have names like that, but the bot naming conventions are more diverse than that. It can sometimes be two words stuck together and no numbers, two words and numbers, or one word and several numbers. Like Soul49054 is an example of a possible bot name.

Seems like to me they have a human leader if they are doing that in the middle of no where. Humans like to not play the objective and just shoot the first enemies they can find. Bots will camp around the host endlessly. Bot leaders just go straight to the objective and then do what you describe them as doing.

You see bot leader A.I. in Lone Fighters time from time. In Conquest, they just run from point to point capping and then leaving for the next one. I’ve never seen what the A.I. would do in conquest situations where there are no points left to cap. They would probably just defend.

The only time I’ve ever seen bot squads was in OBT except to replace players who leave the match.

Or their leader could just have them holding that position, as many players do.

Still yet to witness this.

Its funny because I’ve seen players that were so bad I thought they were bots then they’ll type something in chat XD

^^ Ha, it does make you think how some people can be so bad. As a PTFO’er I just get frustrated that people can’t understand how to win games and help the team. As soon as I got the engineers in the CBT I was like RIGHT, this is the best squad in the game and I need to do this every single game [and still do of course  ]

I guess we’re all wired differently

The bots are rampant. It wouldn’t be so bad if you were not locked into a sequence for maps. Instead of worrying about matching you with the players available, it is worried about you playing all the maps in order.

Waiting longer for better matches? This is not the Gaijin way. To to gulag))

All jokes aside, I highly doubt Darkflow, being watched by their published Gaijin, which is known for keeping queue times short at the cost of BR compression and other balance issues in War Thunder, would do this.

-hops onto battle of berlin to try out the new maps
-all of my attack companions get stuck on random geometry while the enemy teams bots swarm the cp in seconds
-mfw i have to clear out 10 bots + a few real players with like 2 other people in my team that are actually trying
//Bots are a fundemental issue that cannot and should not exist in gamemodes like lone fighter,it has no place there. I’d rather have an empty lobby then a lobby where the bots are causing my team massive ticketloss

Thats because you’re playing Berlin. And lone fighters. Both of which hardly anyone is playing because theres no one else playing it.

i was pointing out that bots are poorly scripted as well as pointing out that they shouldn’t be a thing in matchmaking to begin with.
I’m already well aware of enlisteds underpopulation when it comes to certain servers
i got plenty other examples like it but i kept mine brief and to the point

Some of you may be surprised but some human players are actually worse than the full bot squads. Bot squads at least play the objective.

I believe you mean most human players
