There is consistently an issue with teams not dropping rally points, or even ammo boxes very often, even though they are crucial to a victory.
Rally points can keep a team from losing a lot of soldiers when trying to cross open areas. Each of these soldiers had they been killed by the enemy team would have yielded 30 points/ soldier. So why is it that the rally point only generates 30 points/ squad?
- My suggestion is to give 10 points/ soldier that spawns at the rally point. This way, rally points give more points and are more rewarding to use, and hopefully get more people to actually use them.
Ammo boxes may or may not be as useful as rally points if placed in good locations. Though something many of us can agree on is that its extremely frustrating to be in the middle of a firefight, and run completely dry on ammo, and a resupply nowhere to be found. Unfortunately the reward gain of only 15 points per refill isn’t enough to push many players to put them up, at least on the front lines. Machine gunners, mortars, and snipers usually are the only ones with ammo near them.
- My suggestion is to give points equal to the % of ammo refilled. This way, instead of giving a flat amount (15) for either a couple bullets or your entire ammo capacity, it rewards according to how much was refilled. So in the case of someone being completely out of ammo refilling, the player that built it gets 100 points.
I believe these changes could help get more players to start putting down these crucial structures and improve the overall gameplay as a whole.
*I know someone will kick up the argument that they should be putting these structures just for the sake of the team and the win, but as we have seen, that doesn’t seem to be enough incentive.
