I’m struggling a bit to decipher this
The 1928 and UDP are ever so slightly weaker than the Chinese Thompson. Main issue with balancing those 6 man squads is that they carry 5 of those weapons rather than standard 4 you’d see in TT assualter squad. On top of that the BR2 makes it so the SMGs are the strongest weapon choice to get
The weapons are surpassing even outlier weaponry in power like PPS-43, Type 100 and Owen. You could technically implement this buff but it’d be great to being certain SMGs up to the standard other stat beasts (like Lanchester and Beretta getting more damage)
Main issue is that those premium weapons are really goddamn strong and event at 6 man squad you are losing a machine Gunner in exchange for your engineer to also wield this premium weapon. This makes it so that if the gun is exceptionally powerful the squad becomes really strong even at lower soldier count
UD have rate of fire 920 per min and 6.8 hit power and m1928 have rate of fire 810 per min with 8.2 hit power. 7.63 have rate fire 810 per min and 6.8 hit power. Just compare the time to kill, How do you get that 7.63 Thompson is stronger than UD and m1928? 7.63 has absolutely longer ttk than UD and M1928. So the gun with greater ttk have lower magazine and three guns all have low recoil. For close range and middle range fight, 7.63 has longest ttk. For far distance, three smg couldn’t effectively kill enemy, UD and 7.63 have terrible low damage and 1928 have slow bullet flying speed. How do you get that 7.63 is stronger? I have three squads, and my directly feeling is that, three weapons have same strength.
I don‘t know you have three squads or not, but I would say three weapon are actually similar strength. 7.63 isn’t stronger than UD and m1928. Maybe you could hate .45 low flying speed of bullet, but M42 is absolutely same strength with 7.63 Thompson, if you just compare ttk, UD is much stronger.

No no no. In low strength battle, one solider have hardly change. But in high strength battle, 1 solider is absolutely essential. One more solider means one more possibility. Compare to UD and m1928 squad, I could directly feel that 7.63 squads is much more easier to vaporize on battlefield, but 6 member squads can absolutely live longer

The TTK of all those 3 guns is actually extremely similar. Despite the USMC having higher dmg, the lower velocity really does make a huge difference in the TTK, landing it at 0.258s, while the UD has 0.2699s and Chinese Thompson at 0.2776. But its 0.01s TTK difference for 10 and 5 bullets better mag size respectively, as well as having low recoil
I guess theres an argument to be made about USMC being strong due to extremely low reload times as well as better dispersion rates
Could be my take is a bit biased because comparatively to other ‘outlier’ SMGs at BR2 TT the guns perform similarly good, and compared to other common guns like Beretta or Lanchester they are just better by significant margain and it bothers me
Maybe indeed Im fighting a wrong battle and should seek buffs to certain 6.8 damage ~600 RoF SMGs in the TT

Since you pay money to buy, and the weapon on tech tree are the weapons that you don’t need real money to buy. The player pay real money for the game, so it is reasonable to get a much stronger squad. Emm but you are right, control balance is essential, if gold squads is extremely strong, and silver squads is extremely weak, it is absolutely a problem. Tech tree weapons should be enhanced, for some 600 rof with 6.8 damage weapons, they should get some buff
You get what you paid for(real money). That’s why gold squad is much stronger. But enhance some weak br2 weapons is actually a good suggestion. Or the game would be very unbalanced.
