If br is just used to differ the presets from maps, I think it wont break the diversity of weapons like nowadays. Also… due to our player population, I guess there must will be players get uptiered, so that the diversity would remain.
I am more concerned about the squads after merge, how will we gain a new one from those which from different campaign now, since lots of them are copies of the same rank? No one tells about that, its worth think about.
I think lot of them be unobtainable after merge since you’ll need only one version. Only one version will be obtainable via tech tree.
They could then just reintroduce them in some special events.
Except it only works for Germany because they face two factions. Soviets will still spend time in the same maps all the time + br lock.
People still spam same shit over and over again.
What? The game has more than enough game modes for now where half of them are disliked by the community. And we have plently of useless features as well.
We dont need NEW stuff. We need to fix the old stuff and issues where we have plenty around.
Whilst there may be pros to the merge, I’m a regular player and the lack of choice is a big deal, plus every game is going to be sweaty, loss of HA on certain maps, I still don’t know why new players can’t have quick play combined no choice option.
My biggest issuer with BR merge isnt really the “historical accuracy” but the lack of freedom to play what I WANT. I play Moscow when I want to play Moscow etc. Its already a shame we cant choose maps or at least game modes but soon we cant even choose the setting anymore.
The division of weapons into BR will completely miss the historical correctness and this is because the Germans will use airborne troops over Berlin, German weapons from the end of the war will be on BR 1.0, it’s about Volksshturm weapons.
It comes to such absurdities that the stg 44 or the Fyodorov automatic will be on a par with the AK47 or M16 because how else to balance it in the future?
The game follows the sick idea of balance straight from games like BF or CoD, which creates some aborted meta sets of equipment.
With Moroccan Boys in the Pacific, and potential MP-3008 in Moscow, German paratroopers jumping on Reichstag & King Tigers in Stalingrad, all the other advantags are null and void for me.
The only reason I joined the project in 2020 was the balance of gameplay and history.
For gameplay without history I can go back to BFV.
well, look back to wt, gaijin’s realistic is partly limited, like we wont combine the nations like wows, but something producted in 70 or 80s might go back to fight tiger since its poor armour.
because now the player will have to manage his gear to meet some arbitrary br that completely ruins immersion in the game in the first place, and is a huge negative in my book, makes me sick to think this is the direction that the game devs thought would be a good idea
and if a player wants to enjoy a specific theatre of war, he can no longer do so effectively in the new system, which is a massive step backwards
again, this is not a positive or anything of any significance to me, I already have no issue finding matches or care about interaction with other players enough since the issue there is with lack of communication methods and it has nothing to do with the campaigns being consolidated into one large pool of maps governed by br
people still don’t understand that this change will not be the deciding factor on balance or fair matches, players will still quit out of certain matches and the unbalanced situation will remain
it’s like using a bandaid on a severed limb and hoping that will be what is the thing that helps stop the bleeding
My prediction is there will be a backlash and there will be a soft rule, then another and another, the game looks like it might go on Steam, as when I log in on mobile it shows steam as option for Enlisted… once pop is back they will undo this lack of choice, they just need the pop, just hope I and others haven’t left by then!
I’m curious if the new release teased in the roadmap is actually on mobile. I know it sounds far fetched, but with WT going mobile this year it’s not exactly impossible. I don’t remember if Enlisted uses the same engine or not.
makes sense to me, that is the most logical thing to do to hold onto as much historical flavor as possible and not ruining immersion completely the way they are doing it
and if they want a mode to protect the new players, then have an optional mode for them, but give them the choice. Don’t just force it on the entire playerbase, the br system is a terrible idea in the way it is planned to be implemented
some new players like earning their way against the other players who have more than them, as it makes it that much sweeter & challenging, and some like to play with only other new players, and that’s cool too, but the choice has to remain with the players. Not forcing it on everyone…with the new system a player that wants to find a high tier weapon on the ground won’t anymore, that is a huge loss
people had asked for an infantry only mode or rifles only mode, and that was all that was really needed, this major update coming has it all wrong and it will ruin a lot of things in the game that were the charm of it
speed of finding matches has never been an issue for me in this game like it was in Heroes & Generals, so what is really the reason for this change? To break the playerbase into tiers? How does that not separate the playerbase anyway, if that is the reason?
It just doesn’t add up, according to that suggestion there will be 4 groups that the playerbase will be divided into excluding custom, with the new system, how many groups will it be divided into with the br system? 3? 4?
Just to add to that suggestion, they only needed to add an optional mode for people who want to play rifles only and infantry only, something that has been asked for before and always ignored and left to custom only
