Hey guys, you may have seen me in games at some point. im usually in the US servers and topping leaderboards on PS5 (love annhilating PC players) im easily recognizable because if you have had me on your team you will always have a rally point and a APC. And you will always see me spam ‘GOOD JOB, NO, BUILD RALLY POINT, YES’ endlessly if you are a room temperature IQ player.
Now on to the point of gold boxes. I think everyone has valid points about the cosmetics and the price of the gold boxes being a bit too high. Imo honestly they could lower it by 100 gold and increase chance of weapon pulls. But as for squads i think 12-15% pull rate is actually really good.
I opened about 14,000 gold worth. and got 6 event squads along with loads of weapons and lots of cosmetics. yeah it can be expensive but being able to get a good shot at pulling a event squad or old premium squad for the gold you spend is actually okay. A premium squad itself can cost a ridiculous amount of money. for the amount of gold i spent the amount of squad i get was technically good value especially since ALL of them are no long accessible other then by silver box.
Whereas with the silver box earlier this year i spent 2 million and got literally nothing. No squads.
This time i spent 1.6 million and got 4 squads lots of weapons and a billion boosters.
The time i commited to grinding that 1.6 million silver with the meager potential rewards vs 14000 gold and what i got is no comparison. I got lucky this time with the silver boxes, i pulled what i really wanted (the japanese type 99 flag squad) but I will never grind for silver again. The chance to get what you want is just too low from a silver box.
The gold boxes though? should they come around again i will be reserving $100+ everytime they do because chances are i will get my monies worth. I mean hey i pulled 6 squads and lots of weapons. I am very satisfied.
That being said i do again agree they should reduce the cost required down to say 200-250 gold. and increase weapon pull rate and decrease cosmetic pull rate. maybe bump the squad pull rate from 12% to 14%. and definitely add a pity system.
Anyway thats just my two cents!. For those willing to spend money on the game to get rare event squads i think its not so bad.

i am actually pretty pleased with the gold boxes. they could use some fine tuning for value for money but if you have the spare money and enjoy the game enough they are worth WAY more then a silver box. to have a decent shot with a silver box the investment of time to get a million silver on a premium account with all premium squads AND heroes on it whilst being top 3 in the leaderboard minimum is insane. thats playing 2 to 3 games every day for 3 months in my experience.

12% squad drop = 1 squad per 8 boxes = 2392 gold = more expensive than most squads on sale, and you don’t get to choose.
guess i got lucky with 6 for 14,000 then. still i would rather do this then spend 300 hours grinding 1.5 million silver for terrible chances.
Overall i would rather just buy individual squads. if they have to do it as a special limited time thing once a year so be it.
That’s right, it’s not worth it, and I don’t have confidence in my luck.

The loot pool for the premium squad crates is really confusing. I’ve already pulled most of the powerful rewards, and out of the remaining 20 premium squads, only a handful are strong enough to be worth rolling for.
Player luck varies wildly with these pulls. Some people get 5,000 gold plus a full squad in just 10 draws. Others waste 20 pulls and only get duplicate cosmetic outfits, nothing else.
I suggest reworking the outfit draw system to match how squad vehicles work. Once you unlock an outfit, it should be permanently removed from the loot pool. These skins can already be bought in the shop anyway, so pulling duplicates serves no purpose.
i would definitely prefer they just allow us to buy event squads individually if we missed out tbh. I just never want to grind for 1.5 million silver again, takes too much time and i have had too many games where my team mates are so stupid that i get a max of 1200 silver in that game despite trying so hard on behalf of my team of monkeys.
i dont care about meta relevance more whats something i like. for example for 3 years all i wanted was the type 99 long rifle with flag squad. I finally got it recently. The premium squad that im missing i currently want the most is the lebel 1886 rifle squad for the germans.
