Improved German Airstrike VO

Here are two problems about the German VO we get from enemy Airstrikes

1st The whole sentence is wrong
Currently the VO says “Die Feindlichen bombardieren sich!” which translates into “The enemies are bombing themself!”. There is no explaination needed on why there is a problem here. A simple fix would be “Die Feindlichen bombardieren uns” (the enemies are bombing us).

2nd. Terrible Voiceacting
Everytime I hear the above line, I want to quit the game. The Voiceactor was a terrible choice! First he doesnt sound like someone who is fighting/working and I always see a dude eating candy when I hear it. It really does not fit in with the rest of the VO. There is also a big problem on how he prounounces the “ch”! Yeah it could be just an accent, but as it is right now it feels like everything but serious. The voice actor feels like just an random streamer that has nothing to do with the game itself.

Instead of “die Feindlichen”, it should just be “Die Feinde”.

That’s why Company of Heroes 1 and 2 are cool; there are various lines for the same thing, liker: The Tiger is under infantery fire! Why am I shouting that? (low infantry damage)
Tiger Under Fire! Critically Damaged!

Having heard the voice line myself i have to say:
“FEINDLICHE BOMBER NÄHERN SICH!” is correct and also well pronounced.
Wasch dir mal die Ohren!

Lmfao I really had a small stroke reading this. Turns out the VO is so bad that I even misheared it. Imagine me reacting with an Peepo emote like I would in Discord.

This.
I as a german can only second that, the line is correct.

But yeah it kinda feels off to have a saxonian dialect, when everything else is just normal german … I am still not sure how I feel about it

Haha, nice!

Ha, you’re right about the dialect, i guess. Can’t deny that he is a native speaker at least!

Hey German speakers have you heard the German propaganda radio in Stalingrad? Does it sound like a native speaker to you?
As a Russian, I’d say that doesn’t really sound like the usual German speaking Russian, but more of a Russian VO trying to sound ‘German’.
I’m referring to the “Tovarischi, brosaite bessmyslennoye soprotivlenie, nemetskiy soldat vam ne vrag…”

Heaven’t heard German Propaganda until now, just the soviet ones. But in general the german voice acting is well done, i like it.

The soviet one is the german one .
They are telling the red army to surrender, to get food and free them from soviet slavery and stuff, in russian.

Yeah, “hot meals” sure haha, we’ll see about that by November.

Anyway, does the German “Tovarischi, brosaite bessmyslennoye soprotivlenie" sound native to you?

Tbh I thought it was russians saying it, but as I am not a native russian speaker, that doesn’t mean a lot . One could argue that they used captured soviet soldiers to say the lines thought.

No, that voice is not a “native Russian soldier”, and from what I hear, it’s a Russian VO doing his best “German Russian” accent.

  1. No, you need better ears, or better German, what he says are "Die feindlichen bombar nähern sich
    " which is correct.
