Please improve the Ha-Go tank, it is a poor experience as a light tank due to the lack of it’s real-life HE shell, the lack of modeling and functionality for the Commander-operated MG, and the fact you have to swap back and forth from Hull MG to main gun to use either.
If you just fix any two of these it would make it a much better tank. There is no reason not to! Thank you!

I too have brought this up in the past. Especially because the Stuart on the American side has 5 MGs that operate all at once.
The most effective change I think they could make is allow the commander/ gunner to use the side mounted MG, and let him order the other machinegun to fire on a different trigger. This way, the player could alternate fire between the MGs and actually be able to make a difference.
Right now its pretty much useless all around.

It’s because the Ha Go doesn’t have a commander seat. In game the commander control all the manned weapons of the tank.
So without the commander you have to switch to the seat you want to use.
For example the Ka Mi have a commander seat. You can use a maximum of 3 MGs, they are the commander MG, gunner MG, machinegunner hull MG.

Correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t there another tank or two (possibly in another campaign) that doesn’t have a listed commander, but the gunner basically controls the same way?
I’ll try to find which one it is.
Ke-Ni, pacific
T-70, Stalingrad
First iteration of T-34 (kind of, it has commander but he’s completely useless), Moscow/Stalingrad
T-34-85 (D-5T), starter tank for Berlin.
That’s what comes to mind first, maybe there’s more. I am not quite familiar with British/merican vehicles.

In all American/British vehicles the commander is not a gunner or loader. (I’m pretty sure)
I know for a fact the Americans wanted their commander to focus on being the commander of the vehicle while the gunner aimed and the loader, well, load. However they could all switch seats if needed (like if somebody died)

I have mostly used the Ha-go and other japanese vehicles as machinegun nests. The hull mg is the most effective weapon for the most part.

all these tanks have co-axial MGs (yes, including Ke-Ni, it’s literally its only advantage over Ha-Go)
no tank in the game uses hull mounted MGs afaik, aside from Japanese and Pacific American M2, iirc
Possibly being able to use the rear MG in the turret and possible improving the main cannons damage?
Premium Jagdpanther is using hull MG, JP IV is usin hull MG as well…
gotta admit this is severely underpowered Japan side, extremely unfair vs the other side got 5 MGs, either faster same 37 or superior performance/effectiveness shells(M2A4 also got 37 HE) please build this game a rather fairer approach dear devs
