Mounted mg’s and light automatics were extremely dangerous in the war, but in this game its pretty easy to take them out. Why? because the soldiers mounted stance is incredibly high and wrong. When I am mounting a mg, my soldier stands rather than giving a small profile. This is usually behind sandbags and big windows, probably more
It makes a good balancing mechanic (for D day for example) but I think we should be able to at least crouch while using the MGs to hide behind the cover with the MG.
There’s some neat tricks you can use. I spend alot of time setting up killzones around objectives.
Like building sandbags a few meters back from windows to conceal you, or close to the vertical frame so you can hide yourself by looking away.
I’ve had alot of success with kill zones. Just have to make sure that people have to enter your sights before they can see you to avoid being revenge sniped. (You do this by making it a narrow killzone meaning you will see them very fast)
I pretty much have a spot for every invasion map moscow where I can devastate on attack and defence.
Getting on objective is the most important thing but I have found some killzones that are so effective you either stop most of the reinforcement or basically taunt the enemy to go for a wide flank for revenge (meaning they are no longer defending the objective). My god it works a treat.
Yes MGS are good hipfire, but from personal experience they are better used bipodded in a well conceived killzone.
Yep, I also do the same with sandbags/windows. It was just weird when I saw my team mates firing a mounted gun, they were standing so high it looked almost like hip firing
