I would rather wait 3+ minutes in the queue to have a decent game than wait 10 seconds and play 1v10 for 30 minutes.
Early morning games are fine they said, no bots in SQUADS they said. YEP…

some of those may not have been actual bots, just very aaah “new” players
honestly so many games are rigged for one side to win and you can tell when its your side that is set to lose
It’s possible but still, if other games can do it, why Enlisted can’t: Just match new players with mostly other new players until they gain some campaign levels.
Why would we want a pretty much max level playing with 9 new players and those new players having to face 5+ high level players on another team. Makes zero sense.
lol where are the “germans are idiots” now? look at that aklly team lmao, that is what I usually get playing as ally as well
I tell you a secret I have seen new players do 2 kills, against bots who did 10 and complain that the team lost because they were all noobs and he was the only one who played
it is not matchmaking, there are many who do not know how to play
And how do noobs learn how to play if they are always matched against sweaty tryhards that get 100+ kills a game?
there is training mode for this and it’s great if you click on squad you find it
Are you talk about practice? LOL that is a joke … the tutorial teaches you the very bare minimum of how to move, shoot and throw a grenade. And practice is just shooting at static targets that don’t shoot back …
Yes pratic teach you the weak point of tanks, plane, how use a wapon and the how far you are able to shoot with them
Or doing hard way and play squad and learn try and dye
Yes that’s the best way to learn … try, die and learn but then when they do that they have people on the forums talking about how nobody but them knows how to play …
A solution is a forum only tutorial section or a player vs bots mod like one in war thunder
Honestly I have found that the best way to learn how to play is to learn the maps. Once you know where to go to cover the most likely enemy avenues of approach then you can rack up the kills.
Also capping points can earn you xp as well but all of that comes with learning the maps. I would really like to see less emphasis on kills and more emphasis on taking and defending points.
I honestly see them heading this direction with the recent engineer changes …
engineers can really change the battle with a rally point if there was more interest in developing them that would be great
Aren´t bots scripted to go for caps? I think they are most likely new players who just ran into MG fire without knowing what to do.
If a player slot is completely controlled by the AI then yeah they probably do …
Spellbreak does this amazingly well and people like it (85+% approval on Steam), no need to invent anything, just copy the system.
THE SYSTEM
New players are matched with mostly new players until they hit a certain milestone. To not force them into waiting a lot, the lobbies are filled with bots after a certain time threshold.
Pros: New players learn the basics of the game and maps with their peers and feel good about themselves owning bots on enemy team. Experienced players don’t have to deal with those who just picked up the game and are learning the ropes.
Cons: Literally, none.
After that milestone, when people start to get matched in against all sorts of players, the accepted norm for matchmaking in general is to target 50/50 percent win chances for both teams (e.g. XVM mod in WoT even shows you this percent for your team). Not hard to do if you account for player progression and win rate and balance that on both sides. A rather trivial task, honestly.
[All of these changes could possibly be done by one dev in a day’s work tops. So, there is little excuse not to do it for the greater good.]
It has nothing to do with them gaining campaign levels
They’re just bad all around
Love seeing new American players headlessly rushing towards MG42…
