Improve bipods.
The end of the message.
The bipod system in call of duty united offence was better than the current one we have.
I can use the Bren just fine mounted or unmounted, Madsen I use like BAR, and Breda M30 I can dropshot with like nobody’s business.
Wait, cod has got bipods?
I love how every Week got a New Hype Topic.
This Week you can read everywhere BIPODS
United offensive have a good like bipods system
It’s a valid hot topic. Considering that Stalingrad is the testbed for making MGs much harder to use undeployed for every other campaign as well. And while bipods work absolutely nightmarish at the older campaigns they still work horribly even with the new and improved mechanic. Half the time you shoot through the frame your gun is resting on, you can’t even aim downwards (if your gun is e.g. resting on a window frame on third floor) and you waste valuable time in a fast paced match to even find a resting point despite standing directly in front of an adequate place.
Only bad thing about it was you couldn’t fire them without deploying them. Other than that the bipod system was pretty good from what i remember >w>
I agree, its a good topic to discuss.
I was kind of hoping that we would see an evolution of MG use, although that’s very difficult to implement effectively in run and gun games such as Enlisted or other FPS for that matter.
Having said that I’d like to see some incentivisation for players to properly deploy their MGs.
So for example, in the German case, whilst on the move the MG can only use the 50rd drum mag, however, when you go static and deploy the bipod, you should get access to a 250rd belt which was the standard. As soon as you move more than some specified distance to account for adjustment around the current position, the MG forces you to reload back into the 50rd mag and you are mobile again. For Soviet MGs the reload of the “dish” could be significantly sped up if the player is static. Equally the reload on the move for all MGs could be slightly extended to create a more significant distinction between modes. Similar concepts could be worked up for the US .30 cal in Normandy.
As an alternative, they could also evolve the squad concept to formulate fire teams. So for example link a loader for every MG, and so whilst the loader is alive you can get belts for those belt fed MGs or alternatively a faster reload for the magazine fed ones. Once your loader dies, you’re back on box mags for everyone and the commensurately slower reloads.
I think it would be an excellent enhancement for the MG squad, and would address the over prevalence of MGs in the current squads. So max of 2 MGs in German and 2 BARs in US squads and limit it to only a single MG for all others as historically issued, but play around with the number of loaders assigned to each weapon to play around with reload rates, and ofcourse the loader could also pick up and use the MG without penalties with full ammo load, as opposed to the random pick up rules we have now.

Maybe devs will implement such ideas one day in the future if players’ support is big enough. (They already made movable AT gun.)
