This game turned into a fatigue simulator recently, with many bugs (hitboxes, explosion effects not affecting apcs etc) added with the scorching rays update & no real quality added.
Add these features asap to the game, some of these points been on the list of many players for years now.
SPAWN PRIORITY FOR THE PLAYER BUILDING THE RALLY OR PLACING AN APC
make bots more aggressive building rallies. at the end of a game barely 25% of bots show engineer points. this is an idiotically low rate. bots need to always try to build rallies for every single objective. this games playerbase will never start making rallies in reasonable numbers anyway
color coded artillery circles. enemy: red. friendly: blue
function to let engineers build structures by themselves without the player having to wait OR reduce rally building time to 3 sec
add an engineer slot to every event/prem squad that has 2 fewer soldiers than the TT max squad size. no more 5 man slop squads etc
separate artillery types from each other so noobs dont block the teams artillery for 100000 minutes anymore. bombers & artillery are too weak for this to every become an issue
remove overeating from the low BR AAs etc that still have it and severely reduce general MG overheating. the MGs are retardedly nerfed already, adding another nerf that also is absolutely unfun & unrealistic is utter nonsense.
edit: 8) and let player pick maps FFS, the map picking doesnt work at all & everything around it was nothing but failure for the last months
This, and rallies should provide 50xp per spawn. That’s the only reason we see more APCs than rallies, is because they reward more per spawn. Technically, rallies still reward more (35xp every 5 seconds compared to 50xp every 10 seconds), but most 2 brain cell players can’t see that. Plus, I wouldn’t mind getting more passive score every 5 seconds.
The fact I can’t pop 5 shots from a .50cal before waiting 20 seconds to cool down is ridiculous. If anyone’s worried about them being overpowered with lessened overheating, why not just increase the loading time to compensate?
They should also colour code the players own rally points and APCs so a player isn’t tying theirs up from spawning on it…also so you know if it’s destroyed.
The player gets a notification if their rally gets destroyed and I should hope they remember where they put it. But, I guess it would also be good to do.
Sometimes you might not notice the message if you are in the middle of an assault…for me I find when players actually do build rallies, it’s usually right beside where I just built one…not to mention how many times I am killed by an APC because a teammate parks right on top of where I am building a rally.
It allows your team to spawn twice as fast in what is, presumably, a good location.
And how many is that?
Literally never happened to me - only things I’ve had run over in my memory are some ammo boxes for mortars - once that I can think of in the last few months.
Dunno about this. Not sure should there even be a marker at all.
Anyway, having a blue circle to indicate its friendly artillery is pretty much just invitation to walk into artillery barrage.
Obviously, cant really turn the FF on either, since it would make the game quite un-pleasant as you would be fighting the enemy and teammates that havent figured yet which team they are on.
I think one of the reasons that people don’t build rallies is because they can be difficult to build when the ground is uneven. This needs to be fixed so rallies can be built more easily—and in more places—even if the ground is uneven. It’s extremely frustrating when you find a good spot to hide a rally point only to find out you can’t build there because the ground is uneven.
