The merge won’t magically fix all of our problems, but it will still greatly improve the quality of life of new players.
It wasn’t healthy that you could farm newbies in Panzer II and Pz III B in T-34 or wipe a squad full bolt actions with M2 Carbine and this is only the tip of the icebergxthe list is very long.
They can just combine arcade and realistic mechanics to satisfy most of both casual and hardcore communities since these CrEaTivErS have enough understanding of their own freakin project and not make us do their job like with testing obviously idiotic changes (tank sliding) or making mapdesign at least A BIT playable. Honestly newbies and dumms will be still able to buy progress. Main objective of merge is to separate guns with totally different DPS and accuracy+also divide tanks to give people ±equal opportunities in gaining frags. Basically devs just didn’t manage to balance most guns except bolts
I don’t think it is extremely sweaty. Sure, you have to actually contribute and ptfo if you want to win but it is like humans vs humans actually knowing how to play and on top of that have the best equipment for that. I personally enjoy these intense matches.
Toxic? I’ve not seen anything like that in he past days, ~30+ matches. In fact I must say the game is less toxic than it used to be over the years. Obviously our personal experiences vary, but
even then, the source/reason of toxicity is not an update or the merge. It is one’s behaviour, it is a personal choice to act toxic.
Shitty XP gain?
Big issue is that players tend to quit after couple mins if it seems to be a stomp instead of trying to fight back. Not at all am I defending the bad design of maps and questionable gameplay ones but players do play a big role in this “shitty experience”. I mean sometimes you can’t just prolong a match, but most often people doesn’t even want to. Just take the quick loss or desert and requeue.
I don’t really know what others expect here. Do you all want to farm AI or just abuse your high-end unlocks against low/mid tier gear? I’m genuinely asking it, 'cause any PvP shooter game is like that at it’s top level - you must perform to win.
I understand it is not “fun” for some - we don’t want esport level of mm or balance - but damn man, if the fun comes from moving down AI , I would just play some looter shooters.
This current Berlin situation is temporary. Once people will get their unlocks, they will f off to whatever else they played. Same with Pacific now. Now content → people grind to unlock → goes back to whatever they played prior. This won’t be a case post-merge.
They clearly stated what issues the merge and BR features try to address. They do know it isn’t a wonder solution.
Dev still doesnt realized the key part of Enlisted is the arcade fun of killing bots. Plus some (not full of) veterans have some better equipment for easier games, and leading rest of the team to complete the match. Also encouraging players to grind to get some (not too end game) equipment.
And failing of realizing FPS game is not WT. FPS is much more intense than WT’s gameplay.
Personally I don’t like to have class limits. It always ends up in the same way. One dude who joined early takes the slot and untill the next match nobody else can use it.
I’d like to see sth like in battlefront 2 (2017) where you get points for playing and spend them to spawn more powerfull units. In every game the limiting factor is not the ammount of my points but limited class slots.
So from my experience it works fine.
Score streak system is still open for abusing while tanks or top guns are still easy to lose. So basically nothing changes except you need to rip your back and after getting your lovely weapon- feel constant fear of losing it

If you mean snowball effect, no it wouldn’t be possible. The more expensive stuff you take, the worse points income.
Also remember that game gives less points for being alive for too long and more for dying. That would remain.
Here lies the beauty of the system.
Currently tanks have to be easy to destroy because there are so many of them.
In spawn point system, heavy AT weapon will be expensive to deploy. So heavy tanks won’t be as easy do take out as they are now.
And this applies to everything.
In current enlisted everything is freely avalable so it needs to perform more or less equally to be ballanced.
In spawn points system, stuff can be powerfull but expensive or cheap and weak.

In BF points are quite easy to get and in my 200-300h of playing I run out of them only once. It was when I spawned in a tank again and again despite being spawncamped by like 3 ppl.
Overcomplicated. If you mean that even worthy AT means will be needed to grind then i ask- what if there will be constant disbalance by living players? One team just abuses some bugs and kills top tier weapons of another team, so they easily dominate with high tier automatics/tanks/planes. This is even more stupid than current system. To limitate number of at means you need just to slightly nerf them/change mapdesign/fix tanks. In combination this will help way better than cretinic score streak which requires another limitations to make battle not fall into massacre.

For example TNT would be dirt cheap or even free. And it’s enough to take out or disable even the heaviest tanks.
But you need to get close.
Also there is cheap CAS for long range AT actions and AT guns.
Side with less players will get multiplier to points.
System is designed around a game that is “working as intended”.

What masacre?
You may take KV-1 and kill 4 Pz3. But the guy that killed you will get enough points to spawn 2 panthers and you will spawn in a single T-34 at best.
I don’t know if you’ve played BF but I asure you it works quite well.
There you may play as vader and kill 10 dudes but the whole enemy team will focusfire on you. And if you die one or twice you will have to go back to low and medium priced stuff because expensice stuff is not sustainable.
Ways you mentioned still don’t remove problems with top tier losing due to focusing or spam. Nor it does with online disbalance. Camping and gameplay fixes are way more easy. But if you eager to get into tank first, you might jump between battles which is not prohibited due to crap gameplay
Focusing is a valid strategy. If enemy team coordinates to fight you, they deserve to win.
If enemy spams stuff to kill you it means he is also spending his points at a fast rate. So if he tries to use blunt force, he may actually lose more points than gain.
Only match maker can solve player number disbalance. So I don’t know what do you expect.
It’s not “coordinates”. It’s “lemming rush” which actually makes tanks standing in gray zone now lol

Also gameplay fixes which will show players that devs don’t just woke smeed but also do useful stuff. As i said, it’s all fixed in combination. Realities of enlisted and wt don’t let to use score streak properly for something but nuclears. Planes are quite easy to lose if there’s only one AA, while if anti airs are idiots, planes will cut off whole team. So basically it creates only two polarised disbalances instead of fixing literally anything
I understand your concerns but I am confident the problem in Berlin with playerbase is a result of “grind for the best gear” before the game completely changes. Berlin has historically been quite competitive but not at this level and this happened once it was clear we were getting closer to the “merge”. Normandy is having a renaissance with Allied players grinding end game stuff there. It’s no surprise nothing was released to Moscow, Stalingrad and Tunisia; they are done. Pacific has end game for Japan, Normandy for US and Berlin for both Germany & Soviet so the player base in these three places will most likely be most competitive specifically for those nations grinding.
Every tank is a damn Tiger II, you kill one, two come back. And the fact that on some old maps you have to capture a point for literal minutes as allies and half of your team leaves when they realise that…
You realize that everyone sees this and will just be play mid as well? Yes high will be the most unfun though - Mid being shortly behind. I think the whole BR thing wont fix anything. What they want is a beginner league up to like lvl 16 - 20 or something that way you have at least SOMETHING to deal with end game. Only thing that makes sense. BR thing is going to be so cheesed - I plan on it
