Hint: Slow but steady reduction of the health bar after getting injured or keeping health below the maximum level. (This will encourage the role of doctor, of medicines, in all campaigns, and will require adding a squad of doctors in campaigns where they are not yet available.
Why bother, bodies are dirt cheap. Battle royale-styled healing is already an annoyance more than anything. The whole system needs an overhaul, not more junk thrown on top.
That sounds better than what we have. At the same time it would still be largely pointless as long as we respawn 2-5 seconds away from the enemy. Positioning is nonexistent so healing and reviving is a waste of time.
Then it would make more sense remove medkits (medics too) and just give everyone automatic regeneration to full health. Perhaps leave the ability to revive fallen soldiers a limited number of times, but everything else needs to go (including self-revive which is but a second chance at humiliation). Current map design and overall gameplay would fit that approach a lot more.
i think they keep the game more arcadish to gain more players and eventually shift away from it. I have this feeling because there’s the mechanics that simply doesn’t fit fast arcade game at all like shovels, canteens, binoculars, movement mechanics, all the support classes like medics, mortarmans etc i may be wrong but i hope I’m not
The automatic regeneration that provides some advantages of soldier can be replaced by a reduction in the decay rate of the health bar. That would give the soldier more survival time, to find a doctor, a box of first aid kits or eliminate enemies before finally dying, if he doesn’t have enough health kits left.
Between opening a window and jumping to the other side, or throwing yourself against a window and smashing your head with the window to get to another side, there will be a difference. The first one is safe, the safe one is going to leave you slightly injured.
