I’ve noticed a lot of instances lately where on top of the issue that very few people are placing rally points, the few that there are down are getting clogged by players switching through their squads rather than spawning.
IDK if its being done intentionally, or what the case is, but several times last night I was the ONLY person with a rally point down, and there were 5 people waiting in the queue for it! Half the team is sitting there waiting to spawn, and for some reason the person in the front takes like 30 sec! (I ended up spawning at default spawns and running up, but I kept an eye on the map.)
Half the team isn’t even on the board because someone is either indecisive or is just trolling?
Suggestion is simple, as the title says: If the player at the front of the queue switches squads, it moves them back in the queue, allowing someone else the chance to spawn, so they don’t hold up the line.
also players who place rallies should immediately get top priority on rallies they built. yes it means that we aren’t giving score for people when we spawn on their rallies but i think it’s a worthy sacrifice since more people would build rallies overall, making for a more enjoyable game. rally xp is negligible anyway compared to kills and caps
they think that taking 10 - 15s to put one down will stop them from getting kills or something. i put down a rally for nearly every single point and still end up at the top of the board
it is not like they do it intentionally, same goes for language shortcuts, many laughs like “what do you do in spare time?” it’s not about saving time, it’s just to make talking more convenient, same goes for rallies, there’s should be a shortcut into it. if something is inconvenient to do, people won’t do it
An engineer squad can already set up a rally without the player needing to supervise it’s construction. Place the rally, look at it, hit ‘x’ and start shooting while they build.
A lot of people are just incapable of thinking things through.
The best solution would be for the game to flag players who routinely take forever in spawn and deprioritize them specifically. The rally is for the team, not the guy who built it - so they should get equal benefit. However if someone is punishing the team, either purposefully or out of ignorance, then they shouldn’t get a priority.
