Who had the bright idea of having a task of down 3 planes? This has totally messed up the game today so now people are sitting round trying to take down 3 planes leaving us short to take Obj. dumbest task ever.

if you think shooting down 3 planes is dumb.
how about melee 15/25 guys…?
or: " Reach the top X "
or: " kill 15 guys with pistols "
( which are quite rare if it wasn’t for tankers )
those, those my friends are dumb tasks.
( not hard to do, but still. lacks of common sense ).
on the other hand, you can’t really make many others task

To be fair, it is still better than flamethrower kills (holy shit, these were true suffer-fest). 
Everybody got a knife some chads even got axes, bayonets or sabres so essentially no problem there.
As for pistols, it might be kind of dumb, but if you know what you are doing you can be somewhat useful even with only a pistol.
As for “reach the top x” yeah those are dumb, but there is plenty of other options for how to get the event done anyway.

Sure, flamethrowers would be possible to have back IF we could have way more flametroopers in squads.
Given how frustrating experience that is otherwise, I´m more than willing to overlook dumbness of running around with a knife or meme-ing banzai charge from time to time. It´s not like enough people are doing it the same way at the same time to make it disrupting gameplay experience.
Jokes on you, it took me literal hours to do it, but I did it with flamethrowers 1, starting with level 1 squads back then. It can be done, but it is not good for your mental health.
the Melee one isnt that bad might take you a few round but a lot of the time when you are caping especially with the bolty you get downs and you just finish them off quickly with melee. I use melee all the time now insteaf of wasting bullets.
I would think that with the event swords, melee kills would be easy
Took me awhile but had this done by bringing a fighter with me where I send one if I see an enemy plane then suicide after the plane was shot down as I needed to be on the ground where Im needed more than the air.
Well, these are simple ones.
But to capture a point or won it is difficult.
Capture a point is really the hardest one if you are mostly playing defender.
