The reserve increase perk is useless.
My suggestions for alternatives:
- Attribute points for soldiers of that type/tier.
- Small buff on certain aspects like build ressources, run speed. For example the same aspect the type/tier gets bonus.
- Cosmetics

or remove them dont add nothing so to reduce the squad grinding

They most likely want the total amount of XP grind for each squad to remain the same, so if they remove some levels the other ones will require more XP.
Anyway, yes, the reserve increase bonus has become quite useless right now.
Maybe they can keep it, and have it branch off, for more choices of specialist class?, to the ones already selected, maybe someone, always wished they went another branch, but cant afford to change it, etc.
squad grinding does not add anything to the progression of the game, it is practically useless, the dev could opt for different and much more interesting solutions for weapon upgrades and squad perks (also because currently it only serves to upgrade the weapons / soldiers of tier 2/3 and build a mg42)

Like it or not, squads upgrade system currently serves the same purpose as modules system in WT, that is, adding more grind on top of the grind.
As such, I can’t realistically expect the Devs to suddenly ditch the upgrade system altogether.
the dev could opt for the same war thunder system to research weapon and vehicle upgrades without having to spend time grinding a new squad, soldiers could naturally advance tier after reaching lv5, and squads could be upgraded in same way as now but removing 20 perk, I know that now they do not modify it but it would be necessary later
Imo it would make the most sense to give -x% of soldier upgrade cost (bronze orders), like in case of weapon upgrades.
The fact they ditched academy suggests that they saw that as absolutely necessary because it ultimately made bronze enough for everything and silver almost useless. It was/is a MAJOR economic overhaul as I didn’t even think would ever be possible. And they obviously STILL haven’t ironed out all of the implications, such as reserve upgrades and premium benefits about training time.
I do not know which are the chances we may see yet another major economic overhaul of a comparable magnitude, but I don’t think that the lightning will strike 2 times in the same point within a short time.
(Weapons overhaul doesn’t count, since it’s supposed to be part of the same overhaul still in progress).
Heck yes. As it currently stands, tier 2 soldiers are already too expensive to upgrade for what they actually give back in edge over tier 1. And tier 3 are plain ridiculous.
