Since they don’t seem to want to bring back the GO store, but still aim to sell squads, my idea is make fully customizable Premium squads.
The idea is that you pick items form groups until you have your desired set-up. As you pick better items, it reflects in the gold cost as everything would have a cost. You could make a unique squad just the way you want it by:
- selecting the nation…including all of the unique ones like French, Italian, etc.
- pick the BR
- pick the squad type like Assaulter, Rifleman, Engineers, etc. to get the default number of soldiers for the squad
- then get a set number of perk points to distribute (could be any slot)
- then pick from a pool of GO/event/BP weapons for the nation and BR
- pick uniforms from a unique pool
- give the equipment for the desired loadout for type of gernades or pouches, second weapons, melee, etc.
- then customize the soldiers appearance
The more unique the item, the more it increases the gold cost. This would give flexibility to players that miss the GO’s and old store, and Gaijin makes money.
- I would like the ability to make my own custom Premium squad.
- I don’t want this option.
Interesting ideas but probably way too much work to implement for what seems to nowadays be a small development team, ever since the dedicated Darkflow team was fired by Gaijin.
The SMART thing to do for the Enlisted developers is allow ALL premium squads change their weapons, like is the case with the two Russian paratrooper squads currently in the game (one premium one, and one event one).
Some event squads also have the option to change their weapons because they are equipped with tech tree weapons.
So technically it is already possible and nothing special to implement.
This would make ALL premium squads interesting to buy because their main selling point would then be their often unique clothing and their premium bonus.
Sadly, some premium squads to this day are still not able to change their weapons even when they actually use weapons from the tech tree. This is an indication how little the game owner seems to care about their paying customers.
Take for example this premium squad:
This premium squad is equipped with the Gewehr 41 from the tech tree, so a free to play weapon. That means that it should get the same treatment as all premium and event squads that have tech tree weapons: the ability to change their primary weapon.
If the owner of Enlisted does not even care enough about his paying customers to fix this issue then you can forget about the more elaborate proposal you made.
Reopen the GO store and unlock the damn premium squads. We could customize pretty much all we needed if we just had the ability to change the weapons of the squads “WE PAID FOR!” I have premium squads that sit unused because I don’t need them at the BR level the Dev’s locked them and force us to use them in, and with the weak (unique 
) weapons they possess, they get shelved for TT squads.
Unlocking the damn weapons solves a lot of headaches for players. I could have squad lineups ready to go for EVERY BR level “IF” we could customize the squads “WE PAID FOR!”

I couldn’t agree more…but I doubt that Gaijin would unlock the weapon slot on Premium since it would lower sales if it made squads more universal. I even suggested selling older weapons for gold…but no.
I even think that is why they won’t return the GO store…a TT squad with 7 soldiers including a Radioman with GO weapons is free and usually better than Premium squads.
