I don’t think spawn protection should be flat out removed, but I do see room for improvement with Rally Points as a whole.
Cut the spawn protection time for Rally Points in half. This would be a considerable nerf, but still offer some temporary form of protection from campers.
Make it so Rally Points have to be built another 20-35m farther from objective zones, as I’ve already encountered numerous exploits with rallies on the Conquest maps.
Give the Rally Point construction more terrain leniency, as the the other two suggestions are nerfs.
(Obviously don’t let rally points be built on rooftops or anything crazy)
Darkflow can specifically fine tune this mechanic and disallow constructs from being made in questionable locations, like they’ve already done for the Czech Hedgehogs.
Because i’m tired of dealing with unskilled monkeys building rally points in moronic areas, sitting in the open being peppered by MG’s from all sides and they don’t die, they just kill you because “haha spawn protection”
Or let’s talk about throwing a detpack at the rally point to clear it from the squad that just spawned, OH WAIT, SPAWN PROTECTION, YOU ACHIEVED NOTHING.
Spawn protection is a cancer, treat it as such, remove it.
You’re going to continue throwing a hissy fit because a squad can jump in via Rally Points with 2 1/2 seconds of protection (if my suggestions were added to Enlisted)? Those 2 1/2 seconds would go by faster than you’re envisioning. Do you not realize that would only give time for a squad to get their quick bearings and then get engaged by you? It’s not like they’d have the ability to respond fast enough to campers. I’m actively trying to reach a middle ground here, so that Rally Points aren’t fucking garbage in the long run.

You’re going to ignore everything I’ve stated and continue repeating same childish statement? Get a fucking grip man. Enlisted is a bridge between casual and hardcore gameplay mechanics. If you’re so adamant about playing milsim/hardcore WW2 games then go play Post Scriptum or Hell Let Loose. Enlisted is clearly not for you if you can’t accept having some casual gameplay elements.
In my opinion it wotn’t cut it.
I would rather see it completely removed or make it 3s long and disappear automatically when you fire or move (by control keys, not by pushing your soldier), you couls still turn and aim so you can check is there is enemy pre aimed at you.
I don’t see any issue with 3 seconds, that’s about what I had in mind. Plus the complete disappearance of spawn protection when firing (if spawned on rally points) would be fair game.
@Keofox Are the dev team searching for a good middle ground on this topic? Removing any form of protection is just cutting off an arm with a bleeding wound that could have likely been saved if it were disinfected and dressed, metaphorically.
