I wish I enjoyed the journey to BRV Germany

I have played the faction of Germany for approximately 500 hours. I remember the struggle of going from BR1, to 2, then 3 and so on. Refitting my squads, scraping together the silver to have good weapons and soldiers. Absolutely grinding out Germany, because I thought once I am done with the tech tree and upgrades, I can finally enjoy Germany.

Now I have finished Germany, I wish I enjoyed the journey more. Maybe this is more of a philosophical rant, but I wish I enjoyed the journey to completing the tech tree. All I remember is the hard grind, but what I wouldn’t give to be able to unlock the STG again, and feel a complete upgrade in the standard of my gameplay. Or the FG42 II. Germany gameplay has peaked, and I will never again be able to feel the steady betterment of weaponry, tanks, plane etc.

Friends, I wish I took more time to grind Germany and actually enjoy it, because before I knew it, that experience is now gone.

Now I grind the Japanese tech tree, longing for a new weapon, tank, something, anything, to give me the same dopamine rush as I so received grinding Germany. Friends, it is not there, and I am amiss

it can and never will be the same.

it just isnt, i hard wired my brain to listen to Russian / American voice cues, weapon sounds

how do u unlearn that?

play any other nation for 100 hours and you will get used to the new weapon sounds trust

it always happens to anyone who switched from any axis faction allies one and viceversa

thanks for the wise words man, but nothing can compare to the Germany grind

playing other factions feels like playing for the meta, but playing Germany felt like home almost

no other faction feels like that

ahh yes thats a fact i even get bored with the game for playing urrs for some reason while i 100% stayed with germany i wonder why?

i mean im not a germany fan or wheraboo i just felt more exciting battles overall

I’ve played 2,900 Allied games, 2,700 German, 1,190 Soviets and nearing 500 with the Japanese. My tech tree’s are completed for all but the Japanese, which I would guess I have completed 2/3 of the tech tree. I love playing with the Allies and Germans, like the Soviets but for some reason get no enjoyment playing with the Japanese. Maybe it’s the weapons that don’t excite me, I dunno. I am at the point where I have built, disbanded and built again, several times. Now, I build squads that I would normally not use against people to use in custom matches. I guess this keeps me somewhat motivated, but if the Dev’s would unlock their premium squad weapons so I could make the squads the way I want, I would be far more motivated. Well, that and them significantly improving their bots.

Disband, change squad make ups and weapons. I have had pretty much every Allied and German squad with the highest rated soldier possible, only to send him to the rear and start all over.

I’ll be honest, I get burnt out, and the crap they call our squad AI bots make it worse for me. At one time, I used to play 25-30 games a day, now, just enough to make my daily goals, which is usually 3-5. The Dev’s really don’t do enough to keep people excited about the game IMOP. They have never listened to me and I’m guessing they never do. But there are a lot of things they could do to put some fun back into the game, other then just make things look prettier.

I mean you just play when you have everything that the neat part. You can now larp.

No need to tryhard. no need to win. Research to silver conversion rate is abysmal so there is no point in doing that at all. So you can save Research point and max remaining squad and stuff.

That just me anyway

Anyway i would recommend join any team but idk if you would like that. I did that and tbh sometime it can be good.

I mean, I just stuck with the Kar98k tbh

Find fun in perfecting new squads and ways to play.

Most players go for the meta and forget all the rest. That’s such a huge part of the game that is ignored!

You can create historically accurate squads,
Or Italian only squads,
Or just try your hands at weapons and vehicles you wouldn’t use normally for success, but which are fun in their oen rights.

I myself don’t care anymore about victory or defeat and just fo what I think is fun.

Right now my favourite axis br is br4. Yup, dreaded 4.
Because it feels truly ww2 (without stg44) and I love semis. Best prop planes. And very good tanks.

You just have to enjoy the freedom of choice you didn’t have before the grind ended.

Enjoy it!

Germany - USA - Japan are best at BRII

Russia I like V and III

I love grinding, so even though I’m still playing br1, with some occasional br2, and have loads to go on all the TTs, I am grinding out soldier upgrades. Buying new soldiers to get * * * only, and all the non * * * i get I’m slotting them into squads to level up so i can sell them back for more (less wasted silver gambling on new soldiers. Iirc you can get 570 back from a 600 soldier if he’s fully leveled). It scratches the “numbers going up” itch for me when I’m using squads that are already full xp.

If you already have full 3* perfect soldiers in every last squad, then I don’t know what else to tell you, haha.
