After five years of playing this game, I’ve maxed out all the tech trees. Adding individual weapon models to them when I have an unlimited supply of free XP doesn’t exactly motivate me to keep playing. The only thing keeping me around is the events with unique rewards (which, for a reason, have become more frequent in recent years). Even that is starting to get stale, though. Leaving aside the legendary milestones, the game needs new factions, new battlefronts, and new maps. Sure, someone might argue there isn’t a large enough player base to support more factions, but I feel like the player base will only shrink if there isn’t a fresh perspective. Ffs, it’s WWII, the possibilities are bigger than what we have got already.
To make the cosmetic grind worthwhile, Devs should add appropriate epaulettes, patches, collar tabs, unit insignia, and other uniform details that make individual squads look less generic—and I’m not talking about the fictional stuff found in other games. People were clamoring for this about four years ago, but the community has since forgotten.
More fractions/campaigns (Manchuria is not enough)
Steady as she goes
0voters
More historically accurate cosmetics, unique to the squad
that is something, thats true. But you wont find many players who will stick with game for another whole year just for new map, that is randomly selected by match maker.
Have watched it. Interesting perspective. End game would for sure fill up that gaping hole named end of tech tree xd. Still I think they could add some standard content in bulk like new faction, bc there is historical potencial for that. Ofc it would be maxed out eventually as well, so supposed end game would be great addition anyway.
It’s such a shame that the “New Enlisted” decided to be a “4 nations by 5 BRs” mantra with exactly symmetrical weapons and vehicles balance for eSports.
I’ve always dreamed of a WW2 game that would explore theaters of war, fronts, nations and battles:
Instead all we are getting is Su-9 1946 to mirror Me 262 and fictional Hori to mirror Pershing/IS-2.
Sure, the campaigns system was dead on arrival without any BR matchmaking and splitting the playerbase into separate playgrounds.
But the Merge could have been done so differently:
Instead we have not received a new faction since 2022.
